The care Whippers received was excellent! The receptionist, Nicolette made me feel so much better. She had empathy for my baby Whippers. There was no waiting to see Dr. Kern. The care given was an emergency to me and the staff was working quickly because it was an emergency to them as well..Dr. Kern called me personally and all information was forwarded to our vet in Savannah. We will be visiting St Augustine again in the future..It is good to know we have Dr. Kern and the staff there at Shores Animal Hospital in St Augustine, Florida. We had to bring our beagle here while out of town on a camping trip. We were able to call in and get an appointment for the same day.
The staff was super friendly and our beagle loved them.
The Vet and Tech examined our beagle and explained a treatment plan and cost with us prior to implementing it.
All around and excellent experience.

Finally decided to pull George’s records today and find a new vet. Thought maybe I was being biased because his normal vet is no longer with them and maybe I was just accustomed to her. But they’re very contradictory in their care and I never look at itemized bills… Just happened to look the last time I was there and there were quite a few things on the bill that were completely unnecessary.($300) of Unnecessary!!! And trust me, I do not skimp at all for any thing for my dog! The final straw was, I simply needed a refill on eyedrops And of course they were saying that needed to see him because she was not his original vet. In other words, she wanted the money for an office visit.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Shores Animal Hospital with Dr. Drilingas. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. Dr. Drilingas took the time to thoroughly explain my dog’s condition and treatment options, showing genuine care and expertise. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and I could tell that my Ziggy was in great hands. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch veterinary care!

We love the Shores staff and so do our pets. Both our dogs are happy to see everyone and they are very compassionate and kind with them. Even our troublesome cats. Keep up the great work!

We recently moved to St Augustine and saw all the positive reviews about Shores! The staff and Dr. Zachery are so welcoming and wonderful to all our pets! Fantastic experience! They took my cat in for an emergency visit and they were so kind! I really like that once I brought her in they sat with me and explained all the procedures/ its costs. While it was expensive (this was an emergency vet visit so that is to be expected) I knew what I was paying for! The doctor also explained how all the tests worked and what the results meant! Misu is already feeling so much better ❤️ I have another visit scheduled with them and I am so happy to know she is in fantastic care!
