Sit means sit helped me have an even deeper connection with my dog Snaps - a German shepherd/ Pitt mix who is a year old. We moved all the way here from Portland 2 months ago where I got her as a 9 week old pup. They helped me use the foundation we had already built with tools to help me continue to grow our trust and bond together- which is the most important part of having a well behaved dog who obeys commands. The biggest takeaways are to be consistent with the commands, don’t make a command you aren’t or can’t follow through with. It makes world of difference. Thank you sit means sit of Monroe!!! This place saved our dog! A heartfelt thank you to Rodney and Sam. The plan you devised to help our reactionary dog was brilliant and extremely effective. My dog bit a contractor working at our home and we immediately considered putting him down. You can imagine the pain we went through when making that decision. We have had him for six years and while some bad behavior existed, we never thought he would lash out and bite a non threatening person. We made plans to euthanize him and had a family meeting to let them know our decision. Our kids and grandkids helped us by find Sit Means Sit in Monroe, MI. We met with Rodney, the owner. While he made no secret of what we would need to do to help a reactionary, anxiety laden dog with resource protection issues and the progress would be long and slow. We decided to enroll our dog and at least give him a second chance at life. That’s when we met Sam, Rodney’s head trainer and she’s an animal whisper for sure. Our dog who was previously a little stubborn and around 80 lbs & she wrangled him, took charge, and he has been a changed dog since. We are now practicing the methods and techniques they taught us and come to find out, we were the cause of most of his behavioral issues. We will never have him around unfamiliar people without his E-Collar and muzzle and complete control with our new found skills. Our experience at sit means sit with our black lab Kona have been absolutely amazing. She has gone from a super hyper, disobedient dog with serious anxiety to a much more reserved and obedient pup after the 2 week board and train.

The trainers have done a great job and have been super patient with us in making sure we are able to take what Kona learned he for continued growth.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience and it has been well worth the money spent to have the results we have seen with Kona. Beyond happy with this experience and look forward to working more with these amazing trainers l!

Amazing doesn't begin to cover it. My 1 yr old Pointer mix has done phenomenal with the 2 week Board and Train program. She's a different dog!! I took her over my brother's house and he couldn't believe it. The snazzy jump on everyone crazy dog turned into the sweet soul I knew she could be. Don't get me wrong, she's still my sweet little spaz but definitely more calm and has learned her manners in just two weeks. I can't wait to see how far she will go with the tools and education on training they provided us when we picked her up. I would 100% recommend this trainer to everyone and will be taking any future dogs in.

So this is Pongo! Over time we’ve noticed he sometimes responds aggressively to men & doesn’t always listen to best. So we reached out to Sit Means Sit to see what we could do for him & how we can fix his behavior. We decided on the board & train program. We boarded him for 2 weeks & got him back in the weekends. Let me tell y’all. He has made a complete 360!! He listens SOOO much better & we now know how to respond to him when he’s becoming aggressive. We now have build a bridge of communication with him & he knows how to respond to us depending on what we’re directing him to. He is doing absolutely incredible with us & learning to trust people more. We are now able to confidently take him out in public without having to worry about him not listening to us. We don’t have to worry as much about taking him into stores or just out walking while other dogs are around. He is a completely changed dog & we can’t wait to go into group classes & continue our knowledge on how to help he be the best boy! We would 100% recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone! It is a big pricey but we can promise it’s 100% worth every second of training they offer. We would choose to do it again!!
