We got 2 double cheeseburgers house style and 1 order of fries, to go. The total was $30.37. The wait was 5-10 minutes. Very nice staff

Small space inside with limited seating. If and when we go back we’ll split a double, that would be plenty for 2 and keep the cost down. Really good burgers but I can’t recommend the fries

First visit to the new Lincoln Square location, and it won't be my last. I've visited a few other locations, and the food remains consistent here. My fiancé and I walked in and saw full window seating and 15 or so people standing in a loose queue waiting for their orders. The kitchen was cranking as they were able to fulfill orders and get the waiting customers out in a reasonable time, considering how busy it was. Staff offered root beer to waiting customers. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, 1 fry, and 2 draft root beers. Everything was delicious and, again, timely. We had just snagged a few seats, so we could enjoy our food there. Afterward, we had a 20-minute walk ahead, so we decided on two milkshakes to go. Both salted caramel and cookies & cream were delicious. 5 stars for food and service, 4 stars for the atmosphere, and simply for customers left in a bit of a wandering place while waiting. Welcome to the area, Small Cheval!

Terrible. I ordered 2 single deluxe burgers with no dijonnaise for take out. I get home and see they gave me 2 double cheeseburgers with extra dijonnaise sauce and bacon, I’m allergic to both. Stay away, terrible service that can’t follow simple instructions. They don’t even answer the phone at this “restaurant” as stated on their voicemail, no wonder why !! Stay away until they can get their act together. Waste of a dinner.

Food was excellent. Shout out for all the positive energy and kind demeanor coming from Joey working the counter. He was above and beyond exceptional. I hope your employer appreciates your commitment to customer service and all the effort you put into making your customers feel welcome and appreciated. Some of the best energy I’ve seen out of an employee ever. We need more of this in Chicago. You should be very proud of yourself my man. Great work!

DELICIOUS! I went for my first time ever to Small Cheval on Friday and it was everything I heard about and more. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They even gave me a recommendation (chicken sandwich ) and it was out of this world. We also had the double cheeseburger which was the best burger . So juicy and the BEST sauce. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Great to have a quick-serve food option in Lincoln Square! The burgers & fries are just as delicious as the other locations, and the service was great. Perfect spot for a casual meal. There isn’t a lot of seating, so if they have a patio in the summer that will be nice.

Just scarfed down my first cheeseburger and fries…yuuuummm! Looking forward to diving into those tempting ice cream options next time around. Really enjoyed speaking with the friendly, perky staff. I am old-school, and engagement with counter service people is all part of the overall experience for me. A big congrats on the opening day, and here’s to smooth sailing during these first weeks in business. Cheers!

The food and atmosphere is exceptional. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. Highly recommend trying the shakes. I especially enjoyed the boozy combo with chocolate and Baileys.
