I came to the SoMo Village Event Center for the Creole and crawfish Community gathering. This is a really nice place to have large outdoor events. They had shaded areas including a stadium seating area that was covered by the shade. They have a grass area, gravel area and plenty of porta potties with the sinks and paper towels. It was a really nice area that also had inside seating.

We did not expect how many people came to this event. Good to see this space being used. Lots of food options and love music. My wife and I thought it was a little too crowded for us, but we had a good time. The food lines were crazy long.

Attended the Toots and Maytals concert. The venue is very chilled out. They had a bonfire pit and very organised setup. Its a great outdoor venue area !

Fantastic venue for an outdoor concert! Plenty of room to lay out a blanket & kick back, or head to the front to get up close to the stage & get close to the performers. Great sound system, super cool lighting & clean, well kept grounds make for an excellent time that the whole family can enjoy!! Not to mention, full bar & delicious food from Sally Tomatoes...

We saw The Psychedelic Furs and X here. They were good at moving people through, parking was good, and there are some decent (although a little pricey) vendors here. I love they have a free water station! Be prepared that the bathrooms are Port-A-Potties. They weren't too bad until later in the night.

It's an outdoor venue, and sound was generally good (which is not always the case with outdoor live music). They did lose control of the soundboard at one point and everything fuzzed out for a minute during The Furs, , but they quickly fixed it.

Nice small outdoor venue. Food vendors and booze throughout. Sound was good and the show is intimate. You don't here words like, "intimate" when describing an outdoor show, but this place is really small. I had to drive the night we were there, so no drinking for me. I noticed that the bar booths never stopped pouring drinks. They continued to serve people that were already hammered. Tons of people left there loaded. The cops were outside the gates and giving sobriety tests to several people that I saw, I'm sure there were many more arrests that I didn't see. If I had to give a corrective criticism it would be to shut off the alcohol at the seventh inning stretch. Kind of messed up to get customers that wrecked and kick them out into public.

The quality of our experience at SOMA from years past has notably decreased (2022). We parked in the very back instead of the front where we have parked in the past. We had to wait until long after the show to get out. No beer to the left of the stage this time, and very long lines in the back. And the worst part of all was the VIP area in front of the stage. It's one thing to have VIP on the sides and easy access to the bar, but to section off the area right in front of the stage was so very ugly. Especially at a reggae show that is all about the people and you chose to promote classism. UGLY!!!

This place has lost its meaning to care for our County & Locals as well as it's class to care about paying their artists. A friend of mine Brian Francis Baudin was extremely mistreated, treated unfairly, & the place did not advertise & failed to pay him. He's playing with the Blues Traveler's & Real Country artists in Nashville this Fall. So Stoked for him Sonoma county is failing in various ways & has been. Geudice WTH are you & your staff doing. Hell look at all the lacks of service to care for RP & it's citizens. Hell look at debris in the creek beds to over flooding during the rain storms. This place has went downhill. Get it together. Just cause you are in Wine Country & thinking your place is on top doesn't it mean it is. Last time Somo was Great was in 2018.
