I had no idea this place even existed. A friend mentioned it, and we thought we'd check it out. The tickets were very reasonable, $15 a piece. We have attended two shows. Proof and Ripcord. We did go to the Sunday matinee showings, but they have evenings, too. The atmosphere is great. Everyone really gets into the play, and the acting is exceptional. The seating is very comfortable. They even had this great couch, and we were able to sit there at the second show we went to. We didn't have food but we did have drinks. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. They are off for the summer, but we'll be going back in the fall. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Just saw One Flea Spare and was very impressed. The actors were top notch, excellent performances. Very cool space: small, but well used. Wonderful to see well produced local theater! Looking forward to enjoying the rest of the season!

Have now seen two Productions by set theater and I have never been disappointed! I saw the Elephant Man there, very well done! Brilliant acting! I've also seen now seen Tigers be still with this production company and oh my word! I laughed, I cried, the writing and acting were impeccable! This place is a cozy little venue that packs big entertainment, I highly suggest you check their next production!

Amazing, intimate & welcoming local black box theatre. 4-5 productions each show season. I loved Titus Andronicus, Opus and Watson. Completely produced by local actors, many of whom are professors or teachers working within our Colorado Springs schools. Excellent for a date or just a professional show. Beer and wine available with donations accepted.

I LOVE small theatre!

Having seen a few productions at Springs Ensemble Theatre, I think the people are amazingly nice, the actors are great, and ... they pick depressing pieces to produce. The happiest ending I've seen here was the two wives (not to each other) who started kissing at the end.

I don't plan to see Life Sucks, their next production.

I was disappointed that their COVID precautions were enforced with "if you say your vaccinated, that's good enough":
From their website: "Note on COVID-19 Precautions: Audience capacity has been reduced to 25 for safety. All audience members must be vaccinated or have had a negative COVID-19 test within the past 48 hours. Masks are required while inside SET. Concessions will not be available. All actors have been vaccinated against COVID-19 , take weekly tests for SARS-CoV-2, and will not wear masks while performing."

Maybe it's that we're currently living in a dystopian future that when I go out for a play/movie, I want some happiness and fun in the mix and I'd like to see a happy ending, not experience more depression.

This theatre is one of the best in the Springs. It's a tiny black box that is tucked into a residential area. They preform some really profound and moving pieces along with silly comedies. It's honestly amazing what they do with their space and one has to check it out to really see how great it is.

Awesome little theatre. I saw 'Tigers Be Still' and absolutely loved it. Such a great play. It had been a while since I'd seen live theatre and I couldn't be happier with this production. The seating is a little cramped but I loved it anyway.
