Shannon and her staff are wonderful with the little furry ones needing a home. We have adopted several so they would have love and care in their remaining time before crossing the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge.

Horrible. Filthy shelter. Was told ok that my mother can come get a dog for me due to the hours. Drive a hour to be told she can't pick up after being told 3 times it was okay. Never again. Heart broken 💔 that the puppy I was told I was cleared by my vet and everything was good to go to be told they have to move onto the next person. 😔 the replica of my dog of 17 years that had to be put down 2 years ago this month and told they have to move onto the next person. Beyond upset 😡

I adopted my TUFFEE on April 24,2011 from here . I drive from Calumet City, Il. to get there, quite a distance . I had talked with them previous to find and when on my way they told me that another person was interested in the baby I originally was going to get . I told them I still was going to come and glad I did . My TUFFEE was standing up in his cage as if to say TAKE ME HOME, I'M READY And off we went . They this me he was found along a highway roaming . He's a Chihuahua so He's small . He's 14 now and thinks he's 4. The ladies there's were so kind, patient and helpful , GREATwhen I got there . If ever to adopt again, this is where I'm going . Treat a person good and I'll definitely return

Starke County, Indiana North Judson Humane Society is wonderful and kind. The Starke County, Indiana Humane Society is super clean, very helpful, friendly and sensational. Starke County, Indiana is one of the nicest Humane Society's I have seen. There employees work so hard and do a fantastic job taking care of there animals. A+ Humane Society. We love them. Please donate, please donate, please donate! The Starke County, Indiana Humane Society is run solely on donations. The Starke County, Indiana Humane Society does NOT get any government help or county help. Please donate bleach, dog food, cat food, towels, blankets, treats, dog toys, cat toys, dog beds, cat beds, dog sweaters, collars for the dogs and cats. They desperately need your donation so please please help. They're wonderful place and could use the help for the animals. Thank you ❤️

Honestly the worst customer service ever. They will not work with an employed person who cannot leave their job during the hours of 11-4 to pick up an animal. I was told I’d receive a phone call on Wednesday about whether or not I could adopt a puppy and never received a call. I however called 4 times and nobody ever picked up. I was told today that an employee was supposed to call on me on Wednesday to tell me I could adopt him today. I never received a call so I didn’t know to prepare to get him or to make arrangements with my employer to pick him up today. She won’t correct an employees mistake and work with me to get him. She won’t hold him until Monday and said she’s going to call the next person in line and that it’s my fault I was unprepared to pick up a dog today that I had no idea I was even going to be able to get. I just really hope he gets to go to a good family, I had been hoping for over a week now that I would get to take him home. I wouldn’t recommend this shelter to anyone.

Picked out our two new family members here! Ended up taking two female kittens. The staff was great in letting us interact with the different cats to let us decide who was right for us. Only $40 each and they had a couple immunizations done already. Couldn't be happier with our visit. A huge thank you to the staff again...you are amazing!!!
