Not enough action going on. Most of the 2 hours is spent listening to the PA announcer or watching kids look for a ribbon. Bbq area too crowded before rodeo.

I’m from Texas and I’ve been to the Fort Worth and Houston rodeos many times and been to local rodeos many more. This is a fantastic little rodeo. It’s really world class. It adds a whole nother dimension to this ski town. It’s amazing.

Bought the $20 tickets online for the covered seating. Got there around 6:30pm. BBQ dinners looked fabulous and cost $20-25 for a generous plateful. Cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks, & bottled water were available to purchase. Rodeo was fairly entertaining. I didn't like the calf roping much. Seemed harsh on the animals. The kids seemed to like chasing the calves. The calf didn't seem to like being chased. Parking was easy. Had a good time.

We had an absolute blast at the rodeo last weekend! My now-husband and I got married in beautiful Steamboat last Saturday, and as our welcome party for our guests, we reserved a section of the stadium and supplied our guests with food and drink tickets. Most of my family/friends came from the NJ/NY area, and my husband's traveled from the Midwest. We wanted to give our loved ones a true "Western" experience the entire weekend, and kicking off the celebrations by attending the rodeo was the perfect way to do so. Thank you to the whole team for making the planning process so seamless, especially Rachel (who helped us with the food and drink tickets) and Kristin (who helped us with the entry tickets). Yee-haw!

Beautiful setting, laid back atmosphere, and reasonable (but still long) lines for food/drink/bathroom. We loved the rodeo and would recommend to anyone!

Fun time for the whole family. Real home town feel. Bbq meal was great with smoked meat options. Wonderful history, great experience, will visit again!

They don’t fly an American flag at their rodeos.

Update & Clarification

Yea they run the American flag in the arena for 30 seconds then it’s MIA the rest of the night. I wonder if Steamboat is too PC to fly it at rodeos? There is not a single flying American Flag at this rodeo outside the 30 seconds it’s ran in the arena. On top of that kids are climbing all over the livestock rails while you’re trying to enjoy and watch the rodeo. You don’t get this at the stampede or CFD.
