Adopted a sweet little guy here and staff was so nice and friendly, the facility was clean, and all the animals seemed well cared for. Our new cat was microchiped by the shelter and we received a voucher for his first vet visit as well.

We found a kitten stuck in a 6 foot pipe going into the ground, we called the police department and they gave our contact information to Lacey who called within a couple minutes. She was at our house within the hour to help get it out. She was here for 2 hours trying to get it. Nothing was working. It was a very difficult angle and not a lot of space to maneuver. All of our efforts were exhausted. She tied a towel that she had spread some food on into the pipe and secured it so it could climb out. The kitten did exactly that. Lacey’s efforts were more than I ever expected. She kneeled on the ground for 2 hours trying everything she could to get this baby. The dedication Lacey has to her job and to animals cannot be matched.

Very dedicated shelter. Everyone is so friendly and nice! We ended up adopting on the spot the day of our visit for Finley and it was the best decision we could have made. He fits in so well with our family. The adoption process was so easy and smooth. They even send you home with food to transition your new family member at home and a goody bag too. As well as a certificate to take to your vet for a free physical checkup! Overall, a great experience! We will keep Story County in mind for our next adoption:)

SIMPLY FANTASTIC! I adopted me a furbaby today. The best experience meeting my forever baby. It was a meet-and-greet with the one I originally picked out, but then they showed me 2 more, and I fell in love three times. What an experience I had!
