Great local theater scene with fantastic talent! Some of the booths have cushions and some don't. I recommend bringing something to sit on in case you're in the back. There are no bad seats for seeing the shows though!

Have loved it every time I have been to a show. Being in an old church and sitting in the pews gives you the feeling of going to the Lyceum Theater at Arrow Rock years ago or being in the Grand Ole Opry when it is held at the Ryman.
Always a good choice of plays and actors. Nestled in the Tower Grove neighborhood with a parking lot available is a real selling point. I encourage you to give your support by becoming a season ticket holder.

We went to Mouse Trap by Stray Dog Theater tonight and had a really fun time. Cast was all good and the Agatha Christie mystery has a surprising twist at the end. Venue was really cool and full of interesting looking people. Very inviting and relaxing atmosphere where you can choose your own seat and enjoy an adult beverage while watching the show. Loved it!

Sweeney Todd was such a spectacular performance! It was my first time seeing this production company and first time being at Tower Grove Abbey. The venue was really neat and the actors played out some of the scenes off stage and within the aisles. It made me feel like I was part of the scenes; like I was a bystander in London watching these interactions play out. It was truly magical! I cannot wait to see more shows by SDT!!
, I highly recommend checking out this very talented company!

(p.s. I suggest wearing layers. It was cold at first in there and then got hotter as the night progressed)

Awesome venue, awesome actors but this show has left me unsettled. I've seen many productions of Godspell and all have had some semblance of the resurrection. This one did not. It feels unfinished. And it was disturbing to see"Jesus" left under the debris assumable until the house was empty.

Wonderful venue, love this place. They did a wonderful job with seating to keep people distanced from others and safe. Even though I'm sure it was a money loss for them, it was great to see a wonderful play in person again. The Who's Holiday is very good, a nice relief from reality for a couple of hours!! The gal that played Cindy was so talented!! Highly recommend!!
