This is the place to go for comedy. Tacoma Comedy Club has been bringing big names to town for over a decade. They also curate local talent through their weekly open mics and feature shows with themes of every type.

Not only is the entertainment hilarious, but they have an excellent menu with quality food packed with flavor.

I may have a soft spot for this place since it's where I got on stage the first time I did a comedy set. Since then I've had the pleasure to grace the stage many times and love it.

If you want to be a comedian, you can sign up for the open mic, and take it to the next level by taking one of the classes they offer.

Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Oh... as an added bonus, you may start recognizing their logo with other club names from around the country. That's because this local spot is a Tacoma success story taking their brand and club formats across the country.

was first set of 4 people for 945pm zrussel Peters howing. came at 830 to wait line.. by 9pm line had more than 30 people 8n line. were let in at 915pm. order food immediately and food came at 945. show started with locals at 955 until 11. Russell came out at 11 and was there till 1205. overall was fun food drink came within 15min. need credit card on hold.

Had a fun time. The comedy was great. Check-in and wait staff were friendly and courteous. The drinks were mellow and refreshing. The food was good, but some dishes were slow. My burger took an hour to arrive. Don't bother buying a food and drink package. Thought it would simplify things, but it didn't help. Just order when you get there.

We were at the downtown location on Feb 21, 2025 (early show) and I must say, you guys NAILED it on the quickness of food and drinks and attentiveness of service! Thank you! I appreciate that you guys are listening to your reviews and placing service and attentiveness of your servers, as a priority. Way to step up your game TCC - we will be back 🙂 One suggestion though - It really did appear the show was overbooked and possibly the building was beyond legal capacity of the amount of people for the space, and also 6 people per any size table is excessive - Just some thoughts. Other than that - awesome.

Went to the 9:45 show on January 4, 2025. My party of four arrived about 9:15 and waited in line outside about 20 minutes to get inside. Note that if it’s raining you will be outside standing in the rain for a little bit before you get inside so come prepared. We were seated promptly and a server came to take our drink and food order.

The comedians were top notch. They all had the room in constant laughter all night. The sets were a good amount of time too. The comedians saved this review from being a 1 star.

I’m only giving 3 stars because when the server brought us our drinks he placed two on the table then dumped the rest of his tray down my back. He quickly apologized and said he would bring me a towel. About 2 minutes later new drinks showed up, but no towel. Meanwhile, my back is wet and getting a little sticky from the sugar in the spilled drinks. Next, our food arrives. I’m still waiting for a towel. Just as the food server leaves our waiter shows back up with a stack of paper napkins for me before rushing off. Of course the show is already in full swing so I don’t want to make a big scene of trying to get up and get clean because we were seated right up by the stage. I didn’t want to block the view of other patrons or become the butt of the comedian’s jokes so I sat in a shirt soaked in watered down alcoholic drinks for the next two hours.

I figured I would see some compensation in the form of a complimentary drink or food item when my bill arrived. Any other establishment I’ve been to the staff are quick to comp an item or two if the food or beverage is spilled by the waiter. To my surprise, not only was every item on my tab but so was an automatic 18 percent gratuity with a line on the bill to add additional gratuity.

There was nobody at the desk where we checked in so I couldn’t speak to anyone about my issues. So, I left with a sticky wet shirt and a not so great experience. Take out the spill, which honestly didn’t bother me that much because I know it happens, but the lack of response by wait staff to make the situation right was the biggest problem. Truly great entertainment, just terrible customer service.

I’ve seen some great shows here. TCC does an excellent job of bringing in some big names in comedy, plus amateurs. Definitely worth checking out sometime.

Went to a show last weekend and prepaid for the Paper Plane package (Includes:
-(1) Appetizer/Shareable
-(1) Dessert
-(1) Non-Alcoholic Beverage)

The waitress didn’t take our tickets for the package when we ordered so we kept them out on the table for whenever she would need them. Super inattentive, gave one of our drinks to the other group sitting near us, and then after charging us realized we had prepaid and had to void the transaction.
So I prepaid for a dessert that I never even got. Scam.

Not sure if she was new, if she was tired because it was the second show of the night, if there was confusion and extra chaos with it being a sold out show, all of the above, or what the deal was but it was not a good experience.

But I noticed the same thing happened to the people sitting in-front of us at our table who were given our drink. They paid for the same package and got charged again for it, but it wasn’t caught and they paid twice and left.

So I probably won’t go back, or if I do I’m not going to bother buying a food package because it doesn’t seem to work and you’ll get charged again at the end of the show anyway.
