Talbot Street Art Fair - Indianapolis, Indiana

We finally made it out to the art fair this year for the first time. The street is blocked from traffic and easy to navigate on foot. On either end of the rows and towards the middle there are food and drink options.

No two art vendors are the same and they all offered quality work. Something for anyone's tastes: contemporary, retro, up-cycled, painting, sculpture, metal, wood, canvas, mixed media. They even had toys and smaller sizes items for the kids. Artists came from all over the Midwest including Michigan, Kentucky and Ohio.

Plenty of parking in pay lots near the fair hosted by the Boy Scouts for very reasonable prices. Pets were discouraged do to traffic flow and art on display but many visitors still brought their dogs and there didn't seem to be any issues. There was a police presence for safety protocol but they remained on side streets out of the way. We really enjoyed our afternoon there today and would recommend a trip.

It was such a fun fair! I do wish there were signs as we missed a lot of the booths that were a block over. $10 for parking nearby, but the artists were fun to talk to and getting to see and hear how they started using the median they did, so cool! Will definitely be attending annually!

Very nice at fair with lots of vendors. Plenty of nice things to look at and the artists come from all over to show and sell their wares. It's in a nice neighborhood too!

First time going and I was impressed with how many booths and the crowd. Food trucks around for snacks/lunch too. Lots of very impressive artists. They typically run their own booths so you can meet them before when you buy or just discuss their work. Lots of different mediums to look at.

The Talbot Street Art Fair has always been a family favorite! We love that it’s free admission, and this year there will be a children’s craft area, entertainment, and more food and adult beverage options!

This is an iconic free June art fair in Indianapolis. There's a lot of great art of various types, including pottery, jewelry, yard art, paintings, etc. Prices vary, but you can find many reasonably priced items. There are some shady spots to sit, and beverage and food vendors. It does get crowded, but it's a nice way to spend several hours on a Saturday or Sunday.
