This park is small and one block off the main drag through town. It's a sculpture park. The main activity there is looking at the sculpture.

There's no playground or restrooms. Everyone has to stay off the grass.

My dog and I walked around this park, but it's too small to have a real walk. I looked at the art, which was a pleasant activity for me. The sculptures are cool.

There's a large stage in one corner of the park. There's not much shade in this park.

The Tennyson Sculpture Garden is a beautiful, privately funded garden to memorialize Ms Tennyson’s late husband Michael. It a sculpture garden that has amazing works from various local artists that she has graciously commissioned and placed for local residents and visitors to enjoy. The layout and placement of each unique and beautiful piece looks to be well thought out and planned. Residents and visitors to Pagosa Springs can stroll the concrete path to view and enjoy the beautiful pieces. This beautiful garden is privately maintained. If you are an art lover or looking for a tranquil place to sit and meditate this is the place. Thank you for sharing these pieces of art with the community and visitors.

For those that don’t understand the park…it’s not a dog park, playground or picnic park. It’s is privately owned and does not belong to the town. It was built as a dedication and memory to the park owner’s deceased husband. The owner is a lover of art and very active in the community. The park was just completed and dedicated on June 21, 2024. All vegetation in the park is new and not established yet. Walking on the grass, letting dogs relieve themselves on the grass and plants will kill them. To Shane Smith, there are outlets and there will be lights for performances when the time comes but it is not intended to be a big concert venue. Currently musicians play on the stage on Saturday mornings during the Farmer’s Market. Once the grass is established People will be allowed to walk on it. To Cee Cee, you are correct, people are not allowed to climb on the sculptures. Why would anyone think they can? It’s a sculpture park and every piece is a work of art, carefully curated and very expensive. It’s not a playground. There are bathrooms at the Bell Tower for public use. The entire park cost millions and needs to be respected. For those wanting something else, I suggest Yamaguchi or Town park. This review was written by Evelyn Tennyson, park owner and not Patrick Hurley.
