Very lovely theater and amazing performers. I will definitely be back with my Husband. I am taking a theater class for my undergrad and tickets came with the course. I am so glad that I got a chance to experience this.

The Christmas Carol cast was wonderful. However, the real kudos go to Beth Lake and the Set Design, Lighting, Sound and Special Effects. Fantastic use of scenery. Anyone who had an opportunity to study at Wayne State for Set Design this semester was very fortunate. Great performance all the way around. Thank you for a memorable holiday gift to Detroit.

Ok. So my wife dragged me to see Mama Mia. What can I say it's a guilty pleasure.
The Wayne State students did an exceptional job. Play was amazing. You owe it to yourself to see a student performance to see how good they are.

Mechanical stage usage during A Christmas Carol (along with the acting) was superb.

Saw my daughters first college production at the Bonstelle Theatre. It was like stepping into a piece of History. You'll love this place if you enjoy the feeling of old architecture and that sort of atmosphere. Remember, this is an old establishment and the seats are not the most comfortable nor are they roomy. Seating is very tight and may be uncomfortable for long Productions. However, the building is awesome to experience at least once. And of course, with any old building, it's supposedly haunted.

I'm a WSU employee and I treated my daughter and grand daughter to a day of plays starting at the Fox Theatre and ending at The Bonstelle Theatre, in celebration of my daughters 40th birthday. Mamma Mia was a pure delight from start to finish but it was ruined by the horrible heat in the theatre. I'm not talking uncomfortably warm, I'm talking obnoxiously hot to the point of making us sick. We were sitting up in the balcony and they opened an exit door during intermission but closed it as soon as the play started back up. When you spend nearly $90 to go to a play you want to enjoy the experience and not be subjected to intolerable conditions. They should also note on their website that the seats in the balcony are so close together that both my daughter and I had our knees crammed right up to the seat in front of us. I don't think my 6' 3" grandson would have been able to fit. It wasn't that hot of a night so I don't know why they didn't insert a fan in the doorway if they didn't want to turn on the air. The performance was wonderful and I was really impressed with the student's performances but unfortunately, I don't think I'd go again.

Theater is in a bad need of an update. Sat in balcony. Had a good view of the stage, but no space for legs. I'm 5'10" and my knees were jammed into the seats in front of us.

We saw a play on Harriet Tubman's life and it scared my 12 year old & we had to leave early. It was quite disturbing, as it focused on her day before the underground railroad.

The part of white land owners were played by African American actors. This made it a bit confusing until you figured it out.

The main character of Harriet was often hard to understand as she did not pronounciate her words fully. We were close to the front so that was very disappointing.

Parking is impossible! Many panhandlers wherever you park.
