I have always loved stopping by to say hello to the cats in their enclosed sanctuary but I didn’t realize how truly wonderful they are at The Cat’s Meow & how many kitty lives they’ve saved!
This summer, a mama cat started visiting us & one day showed up with 2 of her kittens! We have a cat of our own but set up some shelter on our deck & tried to figure out what what would be the best for all our feline friends. I reached out to The Cat’s Meow & Michelle was invaluable in helping us get them safe & inside. They lent us a humane trap, a kennel & even a litter box to help with the transition to their new environment indoors. She also helped us get them all spayed, neutered & chipped. I am so grateful for everyone at the Cat’s Meow & especially for Michelle who, in sharing her wisdom & experience has helped us become a home with four happy cats! Thank you thank you thank you! 😻

Michele is a very sweet person! We found a few stray kittens, one of them being feral and she was the only one who had room for them. The cats are in a great place, my Husband and I got to see the feral cat sanctuary and the other cat rooms and we felt a lot better dropping off the cats! We were nervous about where they would end up but after meeting Michele and seeing how she is and the home she provided for the cats we knew we came to the right place.

Wonderful cat shelter! Cats hang out in rooms rather than cages, with special spots for adoptable cats, older kitties in hospice care, and even a feral sanctuary. Michele is an incredible resource + clearly cares deeply about the animals and work she does. We were looking for a companion cat and she helped us with our search and above and beyond support. Amazing organization!

The Cats Meow provides an incredibe service to the community of Anacortes WA and its hundreds of homeless, stray and abandon cats and kittens of Anacortes and surrounding communities. I have been amazed by the dedication and love Michele and staff have for these abandonded and lost felines. On many occasions Michele has come to my home to help me rescue the cats who have been discarded on the property. She and her staff and volunteer fosters provide food, shelter, heathcare and love to these cats and kittens. The foster families of Cats Meow are an awsome community! They step in and provide the extra love and care to make sure the cats who survived such a traumatic life are given all the kindness and compassion that were lacking in their previous lives. Foe anyone who loves animals, I hope they will step up to help this organization continue a much needed service to the Anacortes community and surrounding areas. Thank you Cats Meow.

I have a special needs Cat recently I went through cancer treatmentand was really struggling. Michele at The Cats Meow has been such a blessing. Helping me with special food and supplements and even helping me monitor his weight and health. When you visit The Cats Meow it is like walking into your house but all the residents are Cats. They have taken the time to get to know each cat individually and all their special needs and Personalities & stories. You can really see that they invest so much love into each cat.They have an outdoor area is so neat a real kitty paradise. I love to go on a walk and stop there and see all the residents. Myself and my fur baby Hank give them the highest ratings and would recommend them to ANYONE ♥️♥️♥️

I absolutely love this place! The Cat’s Meow really takes the time to educate, and let adopters know what is expected of them as potential new kitty owners. I have gone in several times to play with the cats and kittens to get familiar with their personalities so I can adopt one that is best suited for me. The staff is so nice, easy going, very helpful, and patient not only with me, but with their kitties as well. It warms my heart to see such a wonderful place.
The Cat’s Meow is hands down the best place to go. They really take their time to make sure a kitty is matched with the perfect person, and that they are able to give the kitties the right kind of love and attention.♥️

I recently adopted Molly from The Cat’s Meow, and my experience start to finish was easy and perfect! Michele made the process easy, and I’m extremely impressed with this kitty “sanctuary.” Five stars!!!
