We'd been to the Heath Main Stage Theater at the Den Theatre a few times before we realized that there are actually 7 different performance venues.

It's actually a multi-level. Live entertainment performance venue that offers plays, stand up comedy, music and more.

When you walk in, you are greeted by the elegantly decorated lobby and bar area where you can relax either before or after your performance.

If you want to experience live entertainment with local stars to national names, the Den Theatre is for you!

It's in Wicker Park and only street parking is available (if you can find it).

I can only give 4 Stars at best and here is why:
1) No parking. Good luck finding a spot on a busy street.
2) By the end of the comedy show people were just walking in and out constantly, ordering drinks and food, going to bathrooms, at first I didn’t mind it but 2 hours later it got really annoying.

Overall a decent place, maybe next time i’ll choose seats closer to the stage.

We held a major fundraiser using the entire space on Sunday June 4th and I cannot speak highly enough of the venue itself- it’s absolutely beautiful, and so cozy also, even being a huge place. There’s not a bad seat anywhere! Every one of the four stages is impeccably equipped and such a great gathering place for all kinds of performances and events. And the staff, literally from bartenders to behind the scenes staff to leaders and Managers……such great energy, they gave 110% of themselves to us that night. Totally professional. It was a complete pleasure to be able to hold our event there. Now I want to go back for other performances! What a fantastic experience from start to finish I had, I think we all had, at the Den.

(1) Got to see Jay Pharoah was dope. Absolutely one of the best impressionists in the business his Denzel, Kevin Hart, and Obama had me dying lol.

(2) Next visit Jarrod Carmichael was in the building and he put on a great performance. His take on his relationship and relationship in general was hilarious ?

Pretty decent place. Good drinks at the bar and very spacious. Came here for a comedy show and the sound system is great. VIP tables were in the middle and were not super comfortable. They should figure out a different arrangement for that. All around were regular seats. Lighting was good too. Everything was organized and it all went per schedule which is greatly appreciated. Parking is the trickiest part. They only have street parking around so be prepared to lose some time looking for a spot.

Had a great time! Parking nearby, great drinks, fantastic show! We sat at one of the tables close to the stage but every seat looked good. Nice sound system so able to hear the performers well. Definitely want to go again!

Great venue - horrible service.

We live in the area and have been wanting to see a show at the Den for a long time. We finally went for a stand up show and were sadly disappointed. The venue and vibes are great, but overshadowed by the poor service and experience.

They enforce a 2 drink minimum but have a poor process to support. We were one of the first let into the show and immediately ordered from the QR code they requested we use. We waited over 25 minutes for our drinks while multiple people around us who arrived later got served first. We placed a final order to meet our two drink minimum and I was served a small pour of Prosecco instead of the Prosecco split I ordered and paid a premium for.

A two drink minimum is standard for comedy shows but overpriced, late, and incorrect drinks at a place like this has sadly turned us away from trying again.

Really pretty place with great music & shows! Drew Lynch was great tonight!
