They helped us every step of the way in building up good obedience training. My dog is now more well-behaved and confident, and our bond has never been stronger! We did private lessons, and the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and patient and so incredibly helpful overall. Cosmo is much more chill and not as fearful as he once was. Our walks are a million times more enjoyable too. Anna and Patrick will know exactly what you and your dog need. I am glad a friend recommended these guys. Anna and Patrick's training style has not only greatly improved my dogs behavior but made me a better pet parent. Milo, my huge Rottweiler dufus puppy and I both needed help. I had owned Rotties my whole life so I knew what I was getting into with this breed. But right after I got him some old health problems came back with a vengeance. I needed help with Milo's natural exuberance n my strength. Milo has gone through the 3 week program and has come back so much more manageable. At this point I can direct him in a way safer for him and me. I plan on continuing lessons with The Distracted Dog. !

Patrick was great to work with! Our one on one classes helped me learn how to properly train my dog, and helped my dog learn some better behaviors at home and out and about. Anna and Patrick are great to work with! They meet your dog where it is currently at in training, and build a foundation from there. They are adaptive, and can build a training schedule around your dog and their specific needs. The Distracted Dog did great with our rowdy puppies, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is needing some extra hands with getting their dogs to listen!

Anna and Patrick were instrumental in helping my 4 year old cockapoo Sophie with her confidence and manners. Patrick was quick to respond when setting up our consultation and was able to answer my questions. Sophie did a 4 week board and train program. I received texts with pictures, updates and videos walking me through all of the skills she was working on. I picked her up and I she was a more confident dog! She is now a good listener and follows her commands. Anna set me up for success with our go home training session and I feel comfortable to continue the work at home! We are continuing to apply the knowledge and if I have questions, I just reach out to Anna! All of Sophie’s human friends aT our apartment are commenting on the positive behavior changes with Sophie!

I had a fabulous experience with Patrick and Anna at The Distracted Dog and highly recommend them. My lovely and goofy English Cream Golden Retriever, Libby, needed serious help to control her high energy, low attention span and desire to chase squirrels and generally run anywhere but to me, including near busy streets. And I needed to learn how to train and handle her well. Libby did the board and train program with Anna and is now a completely different and happier dog. She is well-behaved, comes when called and walks with me rather than dragging me around. We have so much more fun together now! And Anna’s follow-up sessions with Libby and me to transfer the training skills have made me a much better dog Mom. This was the very best investment I could have made for my dog!
