The District Theatre is such a cool space! A great location for the Indy Fringe Festival. The acoustics are great! The building staff, the tech staff are so warm, supportive, and wonderful to work with!

As most recent saw a production of "Hairslay" a take on the musical "Hairspray" The actors were incredible..the lines were lip synched yet you would never know...definately puts Rupauls "lip synch for your life" to shame...

Intimate theatre presenting all sorts of shows which results in a little bit of something for everyone. I found myself here for the first time on a Friday night watching improv from an Avon comedy group. The place is dated with love and history, $7 for a few different mixed drinks and beer choices, candy and other light snacks and $20 tickets. I enjoyed my time here not only because of the performance but because it seemed that the people who were there had been before and it was like a community. The seating was GA and there was no problem purchasing tickets at the door 30 mins pre-performance. Not sure if it’s like that before all performances. I’d recommend anyone check out the schedule and find something for yourself. I know I’ll return at some point. Everyone encountered was super welcoming. Such a gem in the heart of Mass Ave.

We had our office Christmas party here with a wonderful cast of families. The play was fun and lighthearted. A new and modern Twist on scrooge. The theater staff were awesome and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for theater as well as Christmas parties. They had a large room for groups.

This is one of Indy's best kept secrets! Now a Black theater venue. The actors were exceptionally good, especially the young woman who had not yet graduated high school. This will be a regular on my calendar.
