We stopped here for a quick dinner while passing through from Durham, NC to Tangier Island, VA and were delighted. Amazing shrimp and grits in bacon butter (very creamy, beware- tastes much better than it looks). Green papaya salad was ON POINT- Best we've had since Bangkok. Good classic dessert - milk and cookies bar- not as interesting as the food. Coffee pour over was pretty weak IMO but my wife likes it. Cute inside but limited seating. Very close to a lovely park with picnic tables.

One of those little nooks that all the locals know about - their grilled cheese sandwich (be sure to add their homemade bacon) is absolutely astonishingly good! They just do their food very well! Everything we've ordered from the menu is richly flavorful and has a beautiful balance of tastes. I was really blown away, because I wasn't sure what to expect just looking in. It's not much of a sit down and eat location if you're looking for more of a restaurant feel, though there is seating enough for a cafe vibe, but the food is really remarkable.

UPDATE : As of July '16, they're starting some renovations, I believe to make more room for seating. Will update again when the changes take place.

Great little place! Cozy atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, and excellent and affordable food.

I had the Chinese sausage sandwich which tasted great, others have had the grilled cheese with bacon and the pork sandwich and said they were also amazing!

Do a few things and do them right is definitely a model they're following. I personally have always gotten their bibimbap as it's accessible Korean food next to other distinctly different choices. Pretty small shop and I'm still not sure if there's extra seating up stairs other than the one or two tables immediately inside.

Had to visit before closing, everything we ordered was very flavorful and well done. It definitely leans to the carry out crowd, as everything you order comes in to-go containers. The baked goods are amazing.

Food is delicious but the wait for the food it quite long. When they get busy they don't answer the phone so you can't really call ahead. The place is tiny so it gets packed quick and there isn't much space for you to stand if you're waiting to take the food to go. But the food is really good if you have the time to wait and aren't claustrophobic.

The food is amazing. Desserts to write home about. Not an extensive menu, but inventive and appealing. Have a plan to go eat your order someplace else, though. Seating is very limited.
