This is such a gem of a theatre! The shows are consistently well done. Everyone here always has a great disposition. They offer a pretty good snack bar. You can even enjoy a cocktail or two during the show! The art gallery has become more and more impressive over the years. I highly recommend it!

The Empty Space continues to promote actors, singers, musicians, artists, photographers, and more. I don’t know how Bakersfield’s creative scene would look today if we didn’t have the honor of witnessing and participating in productions here.

This community theater may be small, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in talented actors, a dedicated crew, and a fabulous director. I just saw Shakespeare's "As You Like It" there, and I was amazed by how well it was performed. The minimalistic set design with wonderful costumes and acting brought the characters and setting to life.

Gotta give them some credit, actors/actresses were magnificent, set ups are nice, and everything is always coordinated. Went there for the first time about two summers ago and recently went last weekend and have never failed to disappoint me.

I’d recommended anyone to go with free time– it’s worth it

It was nice I liked the paintings they had out in the lobby area and the stage was setup nice and I heard they always have really good plays. I've only seen one there and I loved it.
