The production was great only to be down played by some person, staff member, I don't know. I am in a wheelchair and the theater was not set up for any handicap assistance at all! A chair was removed and I was put in it's place on 2 aisles. People kept running into my chair from the rear and then a person kicked my wheel on the side of my chair. I moved my foot rest folded up to the side of my chair so I could move closer to the chair in front of me trying to make it possible for people walking behind me. The production started and someone came off the stage and ran into my chair. A woman then came over to me and told me I had to remove my foot rest that someone had run into it and did I understand that it must be removed. There are NO aisle lights, and the chairs were so close there was barely enough room for my chair. My advise if you are handicapped don't attend this theater, but you will miss out on great productions! I will not return as I was humiliated and embarassed by the way I was spoken to and treated.

A HIDDEN GEM!!!! I began attending The Island Theater last year and found myself addicted ever since! So much so I ended up purchasing season tickets! A MUST!!!! I bring my daughters once a month to see the performances. It’s our family outing time. This summer I enrolled my children in theater camp. They loved it! It’s given them a sense of belonging. They have zero acting experience and by the looks of it, I think they plan on continuing to act. They’ve made great friends as well and have enjoyed their summer. The Island Theater is one of my favorite places in the local community. I love supporting them. The acting is great and you can tell that they take pride in putting together the shows. The ticket prices are very reasonable especially when you have a family of 7 like mine. This is our new home. We will continue to support this business/ community center for years to come!!!!

We saw Boeing, Boeing on the last Saturday of it's run. Before intermission the theatre was part of a Fleming Island power outage and the cast kept going to intermission and into the second act. Staff located battery powered lights and did what they could to illuminate the stage. It was a unique theatre experience and we enjoyed the show. Will be back again.

I love this theatre! Every seat is excellent. I feel I’m right with the cast on stage. Actors are excellent, costumes are creative as are the sets.

The theater is small so you can see and hear everything quite well. But there are only two bathrooms so when it's a full house you can end up waiting awhile to use the facilities. That can be fun, tho, cuz it gives you a chance to talk to others enjoying the show
