My whole pack has benefited from The Loyal Canine. The main thing I'm thankful for is to have found a training location that can help with all aspects of training needed to help each dog as I have different goals for each dog. I've had moments where I struggled with one dog and sent them a private message on Facebook and they were quick to help me till we were able to meet again at our weekly class. They're very easy to talk to and want to see you succeed. I appreciate both Kim and Lewis for their help with training 3 dogs because I can get in my own way and rush things so they help me switch gears to help the dog I'm working. Classes are fun and informative and if you get to go with them on pack walks you'll get to put what you learn in class to work on the real world. Highly recommend!

The BEST investment you’ll ever make in you family dog. When my wife and I got our German Shepherd, Hans, we were not ready for how intense he was going to be. We loved him but he was pretty tough to handle as a puppy, and he was growing fast. He was barking all night, chewing on walls in our home, and was extremely tough to walk. We loved him, but we had a new baby on the way and needed professional help. TLC Dog Training was recommended to us and after I spoke with other trainers i decided to go with TLC. TLC was, and still is, the absolute BEST investment in Hans. In fact we still drive all the way out to Brookesville, extremely out of our way, to board him. Why? Because we know he’s in the best hands possible and loves his time there. After the 3 week initial training program Hans came back home as a COMPLETELY NEW dog. While on walks he consistently gets complemented by other people walking their dogs. When other dogs lose their cool, Hans sits and watches them walk by keeping a close on eye on them but staying controlled and collected. In fact, so well, people ask where he was trained and we routinely recommended TLC to other dog owners, who have also now sent their dog to TLC with the same results. Sure we’re not as strict as Lewis and his team but it’s insane that Hans still knows and listens to all of his commands. No matter where we go chances are Hans will receive some sort of compliment which is way better than the opposite. If you’re looking for a dog trainer you would be foolish to not hire the TLC team.

Kim and Lewis are exceptional dog trainers! I have been working with them for almost a year now with my reactive pit bull rescue, and they have not only helped him with his reactivity but also helped me learn how to live with a reactive dog and the aspects of dog behavior! I could not recommend them enough and it was definitely money well spent 🙂

We are so impressed with The Loyal Canine! After a few weeks with our Belgian Malinois puppy we realized we were way over our heads! Kim and Lewis are wonderful to work with! After the 3 weeks boarding program we got back a well behaved dog! Our journey with Jolie is evolving and we continue with private training to reach her full potential. They are very patient and knowledgeable on all aspects of dog care.
P.S. 4 years later Jolie still traine with TLC once a week. She also goes boarding when needed. She is always eager to go and loves her time with them. We highly recommend TLC!

Lewis is extremely knowledgeable with what he does. This was definitely money well spent! His one on one sessions are extremely informative as he trains you the proper way to train your dog which is exactly what I wanted. The results are absolutely amazing and his techniques work wonderfully. I would highly recommend their services to anyone wanting a well behaved and loving companion by their side.

I started training with Kellie in 2018 for my 2 pittie pups who were in dire need of direction. One was very dog reactive, the other fearful of everything. We had several scary encounters with off-leash dogs (leash law, people!) and I was filled with anxiety.
My dogs needed a leader and I was falling short.
Kellie seriously changed our lives. She gave me the tools I needed - as well as the encouragement and held me accountable to do the work - in order to see the results. Kellie has so much patience - especially with those holding the leash because that's where the the solution either succeeds or falls short. I needed a LOT of help.
Flash forward to today - and a move across the country - I get SOOOO many compliments on my dogs' polite manners in public around numerous dogs. I'm asked if I'm a trainer (I WISH I were that good!).

We had reserved Louis to train our newest Doberman puppy unfortunately he fell ill, and we do not know his outcome at this point. He had to have emergency surgery and is still trying to survive. Louis was very understanding of our situation and kept in contact with us to find out how our puppy was doing and offered us a refund on our deposit. His concern for dogs in general is very much appreciated, but his own personal reaching out to us on a constant basis to check on our puppy was near and dear to our hearts. We met with Louis at the facility and had a long conversation about theories of training, his process and expectations along with goals. He was very thorough and his explanation and what our expectations would be and how they would be met. We hope in the future that we can use him for any training purposes that we may need.

Lewis and Kim did a fantastic job with our pup. We now have a dog that no longer runs out the door, or knocks over our toddler. We love that it's family run, and our baby got to live with her trainer (and their dogs, cat, and toddler!) for 3 weeks. She looked like she was having so much fun she didn't want to come home! I definitely recommend them and will be using them for continued training in the future.
