This is a beautifully renovated historical theater and events space. The programming is excellent and varied. Plus, the staff is knowledgeable and super-friendly! What a gem to have in this NW Michigan community.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here last fall. It was important to us to find a unique and local venue…The Playhouse was perfect. Beth helped organize the event and was SO helpful during the planning process and wedding day! I highly recommend!!!

Now called. The Playhouse at White Lake! The present manager, Beth, was on hand to greet folks stopping in for the Depot to Depot self guided tour. She shared information about their offerings and opportunitors for music and theater, explained some of the history of the building, showed me the theater seating in the auditorium and passed out free popcorn. Only reason it didnt get 5 stars was because i didnt get to see a show! Looks like it would be worth coming back at the right time for a show!

We went to a performance called Miracle on Division Street. It was fabulous! The seating in the theater is a bit snug but the lobby is very spacious. Overall a great way to spend a couple hours on a summer evening. P.S. I meant to post this a couple of years ago. I was there tonight and Google maps reminded me I never submitted it. Seriously though, this is high quality experience.

What a wonderful little piece of history in our community! A gem to have in a small town. Beth does a phenomenal job managing this playhouse and the content they put out is phenomenal. If you haven't been go, you've been missing out.

When you walk into The Playhouse, you step inside a spacious, and well lit lobby with a wall of windows. There is a ticket window next to their concessions area. The woman's bathroom was exceptionally clean and beautifully constructed. The main event area housed the stage and seating. It is a smaller venue, but that makes it more intimate. My mother complained about the seats, which I do agree with. The seats were quite slim and there was barely any arm room. Which made sitting next to strangers quite uncomfortable, hence the 4 stars since this is where you spend the majority of your time.
