New owners are really doing a wonderful job! We went to their first polar express event and it was an amazing experience! I hope they continue it every year! If you've went in the past, give this place another shot with the new owners- you won't be disappointed!

Overall the vibe and feel of the cinema and the staff is great. The staff are nice, the new owners are local and have the community in mind, but I am a little put off by a couple things.

For starters I just find it a little annoying we're paying extra for butter popcorn. And it's at the employee's discretion. And most of the time the popcorn machine is almost empty and I'm getting that last bit. I always go to the earliest showings so there's no excuse why there shouldn't be freshly-made popcorn.

On to the movie selection. We have yet to see any of the newest horror/thriller releases. When I went for Smile 2 the theater was pretty full, but that was in October. Since then we've missed out on Terrifier 3, Nosferatu, Wolfman, and Heart Eyes. I get that some people want to see more family-friendly movies, but they even advertised that Wolfman would be shown and then yanked it in favor of a movie I've never heard of.

Some of us want to see movies for adults-to be entertained. We don't want movies with messages. I have a hard time believing that Paddington or Brave the Dark would bring in more money than Heart Eyes or Love Hurts.

Apologies for the novella, but I think that people want to see more of a mixed lineup of movies as opposed to ones only for kids.

Love this old school theater!! Everything you need to get through a great movie. Plus, the staff are down home friendly and the food taste better. Best part is that you pay only a fraction of the price at other theaters. TRUE GLIMPSE INTO THE PAST and I love that. Hope it never changes.

Went here March 10, 2024 to see the Bob Marley movie. We got 30 minutes into the movie and the screen completely went dark. Every person in the theater (including us) went into the lobby to tell the workers that we wanted a refund. The rudest people ever! We told one guy we wanted a refund and he told us they don’t do refund's. They told us this happened before and it took all day to fix. He said there is usually a sign on the door (but there wasn’t) one person asked to speak to the owner about a refund and he said he didn’t have the owners number then he said if he called the owner they would get in trouble. So we asked for the manager, she never came out to talk to us. They offered us a free movie pass, like we will ever come back This was the 4:30 showing so I hope the owner sees this and talks to his rude employees

If I could rate 0 I would. Every single time I’ve gone there has been a big group of pre teens talking and yelling through the entire movie creating so much of a disturbance you can’t even hear what is going on. Sometimes the staff kicks them out but it’s the fact that it just keeps happening. I can’t remember a single time I’ve been there where pre teen kids have not ruined the entire thing. Also didn’t appreciate one of the staff members telling me the movie I was paying to go watch was a bad movie.

Building is very old and outdated. Probably remolded last in the 70’s. However, picture, sound, etc. is pretty good.

Best part is large popcorn and drink together is only about 10.00 AND you get free refills on both!

The place is clean and has a good selection of movies (most of the time). The staff is friendly and welcoming as well. The only issues I have are that the seats aren’t very comfortable and that the popcorn has been very stale and tasteless the past few times I’ve been there. The place could also use a few renovations — particularly the restrooms.

Clean, quiet little theater. Been seeing movies here since the 70’s here. My big sister brought me here to see Grease back in the day. Took my first date here as well, and continues to be my theater of choice. Love to take in a matinee for an almost at home experience. Inexpensive, clean, quiet, and local. All the right things if you want to enjoy a good movie without a big hassle. The new fancy theaters with those huge screens put off so much light from the film, it’s like trying to see a movie with all of the lights on. We should Support our local businesses like these so they can stay in operation. Once they are gone, they cant often reopen.
