My son and I have been going there for a few years now. I have never seen any animals dead. Staff has always been friendly. Always has Made in Detroit tshirts in stock. Tons of fun stuff to look at. A rare place these days.

A fun, unique store. I compared their prices to online stores like amazon and etsy and they do double the price for a lot of their stuff, but not all. I come here often for their gauges, a little more expensive than some that are online but at least I don't have to wait a couple days for shipping. Their posters are good quality, I have a ton of them. Their prices on their crystals are better compared to other in person stores.

Long story, short, dirty, water, bottles, enclosures, left open, dying and dead animals on display, numerous adult, and baby animals shoved into almost airtight containers with barely any holes. Over breeding animals. This is just a small list of the issues that the roadshow in Roseville has. They are going to constantly deny them, although as someone who just visited 20 minutes ago. This is my story.. Unfortunately, my story starts two years ago when me and my friends got our first two snakes from the roadshow. They eventually died, one of them with a respiratory infection. Both deaths were eventually blamed on us by the roadshow, with them taking zero responsibility. This time later, I finally decided to visit again, hoping everything would be much better.. I was dead wrong. We’re talking about small animals that are to become peoples pets shoved in the boxes with zero lighting, not even put into proper enclosures or cages. They are obviously over breeding, reptiles, and other types of animals here at the shop. Enclosures were left open, easily accessible to the public. Putting many of the animals in danger, or at risk. Many of these cages didn’t even have all
The proper requirements, or space requirements needed for a lot of these pets, even by a pet store standard. They were left without hay, improper food. Many of the litter boxes were dirty, not to mention the smell of the entire animal area. Many of the enclosures had more than one animals/reptile in it. To the point where it was definitely over capacity. Not to mention the horrible smell, rotting, food, mold, and other many many things wrong with the care of the animals are receiving. They were fully keeping dead insects on display for the public, like dead in the tank. I am heartbroken, and so angry. To the point where I think this post needs to be made. Many of these pets are going to become Christmas presents for people this year, many of these pets are going to die, and no one is going to do anything about it unless someone says something about this store. Multiple complaints have been made, multiple complaints, have been filed and documented, although this store continues to over breed reptiles, pets, and feeder food. I can guarantee you 100%. They are going to deny all of these accusations, claims, and sites I personally saw with my own eyes 10 minutes ago. Although I do not think that it is right that they are selling Michigan residents these sorts of animals, and I know that a lot of Sterling Heights residence come to the specific shop for reptiles and animals. We were literally just there 20 minutes ago and even witnessed an employee attempt to feed an animal, forget about the animal completely. Leaving their enclosure open, only to move onto another animal, where they once again left the enclosure completely wide-open, while conversing with another coworker about something that had nothing to do with the animal. They also burn incense on a constant which studies have shown can cause respiratory problems, and other life-threatening issues.

UPDATE* the owner has responded to my partners review from the exact same day, and after seeing and calling out the exact same things. The owner said “I find your review somewhat insulting and lacking in knowledge. I would like you to come out and show me the horrible conditions that you had seen I have a 9,000 sq ft store and am able to sell a vast variety of merchandise. Sorry if that bothers you. My animal environments are one of the cleanest and nicest that you will find in any pet store any where.
So I am inviting you again to come visit and show me what you are talking about”

WE HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED BACK EVEN AFTER CALLING TO SCHEDULE SAID VISIT WITH THE OWNER. Instead he’s cotinued to be defensive and attack anyone who has any concerns. Animals are DYING HERE! This isn’t a joke, and this place should be shut down immediately. We know for a fact they’re breaking multiple pet store laws. We’re hoping local authorities investigate, unfortunately animals still get the worst of it

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago while Christmas shopping. I found a lot of unique and fun items.i was able to find a little something for everyone. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Very happy I was shown this Gem 💎

This place is hands down amazing. Been coming here for unique stuff for 20+ years. Black light posters, unique home decor, clothing, crystals, statues, jewelry, stickers, incense, herbs, reptiles, and more. One of the best snd most eccentric stores in the metro Detroit area.

I only stopped in for an 3rd party purchase, BUT they gained a customer for life! There is knowledge about what's around you EVERYWHERE! There was someone to help at every turn and most seemed knowledgeable of the items sold OR could find someone else quickly. It was very organized where most crystal shops are "cozy" and cramped. The was an large variety of everything from clothes to candles. I can't remember who helped me (stunned with awe) but she was friendly and a customers dream come true on finding things. Last but not least, the very best part🤗 the prices are by far the BEST I've encountered since the purge in prices lately. 10/10 Great for gifts personal growth and just anything!

I’m not to sure why people are giving this place one star reviews, seeing as though it’s towards the reptiles and the other pets here. From my experience I bought a baby bearded dragon from here almost a month ago, he is happy and thriving. He was sent home to me in a box with air flow on both sides and he was receiving light from the air flow but not directly which is okay bc it might hurt their eyes. Anyway I do witness all animals receiving fresh food and water daily and no animal has looked in distressed. I am almost a regular at this location, I purchase crystals and insects for my baby. The staff is amazing here, they’ll help you with whatever you need! This is the only place I’ll ever be going for insects,crystals and maybe more reptiles… Even if I lived an hour away this will still be the place I go!((( my baby bearded dragon I got from the place as well as the beautiful amethyst unicorn in the background;) ))))
