Our first time attending. A very enjoyable performance and professionally accomplished. Obviously, this is a mostly professional cast with a great passion for what they do. Our family is very musical and we appreciated the great talent. We would highly recommend it so you can meet the man behind some of the world's most famous songs. I bet you will learn something you didn't know. (Oh, and the ticket prices and concession did not try to bankrupt us - thank you). Great job cast!!

Wonderful outdoor amphitheater show! (Bring a fan and dress accordingly; its hot). The cast was talented and the performance was great. Unique perspective on the young Stephen Foster.
The show runs about 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission between hours. All shows start at 8pm and seating opens at 7:15pm.

We thoroughly enjoyed this high quality musical experience. The talent was strong, sets beautiful and costumes were colorful and well designed. It was fun and brought smiles to our faces listening to music that runs deep through American culture. The 4th of July fireworks capped off a great evening.

Amazing show, wonderful hospitality. Of course, the firework show is amazing every year. This is my first year as a lifelong bardstown native to watch the stephen Foster Story for the 4th of July! We watch the fireworks every year, but it was amazing to see them up close!

I’ve lived in Kentucky since 1995, but until last year I had never experienced the Stephen Foster Story. We saw it again this year and plan to see it every year going forward. It’s an excellent production and a beautiful outdoor amphitheater experience. They have some food, snacks, drinks, and adult beverages, all reasonably priced. Having said that, historic Bardstown, Kentucky has some wonderful restaurants and architecture to appreciate. Plus lots of bourbon…need I say more!

This year the other musical they hosted was The Little Mermaid. It was fantastic. Definitely worth going.

It was OK — I think that the acting was mediocre on the part of Stephen and Jane, and that some of the themes are very dated. However, Gary Vittitow, the true star of the show, never disappoints!!! We love you, Gary! The Stephen Foster Story would be incomplete without you. :^) (He is in the center with the guitar.)
