Today was my first visit to see a performance at the Civic Theater. It is a really nice place. My group was very impressed to see the auditorium and performance. We really enjoyed it. My only dislike was at the end when it was time to leave. The woman in charge (wearing an orange shirt) of dismissal made a few negative remarks towards my group. She told the children to follow me the Queen Bee. She also said we would leave last since we came in last. Even thou we were closest to the exit. She said we were really quiet and that she is so suprised that we were quiet. Her remarks seemed racial, and I do Not appreciate it! One person will not stop our return and ability to enjoy our Field Trip. Hopefully she was just having a bad day. God bless her.

Wow! The Tarkington brings the arts alive with such talent and vibrance! We recently attended the holiday show White Christmas. I have also had the joy of attending many of their other shows and always leave with such an appreciation of the work and artistry poured into each production. The Civic theater at the Tarkenton is such a gem in our community!

NEVER AGAIN! We had tickets to see White Christmas and the area was so congested, we couldn’t find parking, and had to miss the show. Carmel DID NOT think this through.

I went to opening night of the Sound of Music and the performance was fabulous. My guest was surprised at how professional the production was for a local civic theater. The talent was incredible. There was even a symphony with a conductor. Seats were good with good leg space and seats were comfortable. We didn't get drinks so I cannot comment on that. While the parking garage was busy and we had to park on the top level getting out of the garage was pretty easy. No more that 5 minutes to go from the top floor of parking garage to exit.

We recently enjoyed a performance from the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and had a wonderful time. It seemed like most all of the seats had a good view and the smaller theatre created more of an intimate feel. There were no cup holders, so just something to keep in mind.

Just saw Jim Messina. What an outstanding show. This is
our first visit to the Tarkington and will definitely return. There is not a bad seat in the house. It was nice to be able to enjoy the show with a beverage as well. We hope Jim returns to our lovely community.

Tarkington and the entire area of Center for Performing Arts is so well done! You can find easy parking, good food, and even if you choose to not attend a performance, it is an enjoyable place to hang around.
