We had our wedding reception at the Territory Ballroom. Nicky and Shawn made our wedding planning process a breeze. I planned a wedding from out of state and Nicky provided recommendations for local vendors, coordinated with vendors for set up and deliveries, and listened to our goals for the day. The space and their hospitality exceeded all our expectations. Our guests and ourselves had a wonderful evening in Council Grove. Additionally, we stayed in the upstairs suite after the reception which was convenient and luxurious. We highly recommend this space and these people.

We had an excellent experience hosting our daughters baby shower at The Territory Ballroom. Our guests made several comments about how beautiful the space is. Nicky was very helpful with bringing down floral decor from the attic and making herself available for all our needs.

The staff is helpful and patient by always listening and communicating with you to make sure your event is planned as you imagine. The ease of having materials in the ballroom makes it easy to visualize how your event will look like. The top notch kitchen and elegant bar add an amazing touch when trying to serve your guests. With a classy interior design decorated with historical aspects of the Santa Fe trail, the Territory Ballroom is the place to be if you want to build a night to remember, just like we did!

I cannot say enough great things about The Territory Ballroom and the owners Nicky and Shawn. We recently used the event space to host our baby shower and Nicky was extremely helpful with the planning process, day of festivities and helping make all of our guests feel welcome.The event space is so beautiful and the day was absolutely perfect!

My wife and I held our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Territory Ballroom. Nicky and Shawn did an amazing job coordinating our wedding and reception and went above and beyond to make sure our weekend was perfect. We had to do our planning from hours away, but Nicky worked tirelessly coordinating with vendors, designing invitations and programs, and communicating with us to make sure our vision came to life. So a friend of ours got married here and the setup was very nice and well done. The setting was beautiful and the wedding service was great. There was only one issue I had with the venue.... and that was the lady who ran the show (assumption being that she was one of the venue owners). She presented herself as a plastic faced, not so nice, and forced happy smile lady. She was very 'curt' and when I asked her for a soda while she poured out 60 plus mimosas, she informed me that alcohol was not yet available. I said that's great, can I have a Dr pepper please. Now, in my mind, for the money spent, the least she could do would be to be cordial to the guests. I didn't ask for alcohol. I didn't need to know it wasn't available yet. So, other than her attitude, everything else was great. Even when her husband got 'bit' by a stack of chairs and started to bleed from the nose, he was awesome. She might do well to take a course on how to deal with guests (public relations). It would do their business well to do so. I say this because after my interactions with her, I would not use the venue personally. This is not meant to be derogatory in nature, but merely as advice from someone who deals with 20 plus new people a week and how I interact with them. My two cents. It was the only reason why they didn't get five stars. Everything was great.

Great feel and atmosphere! Owners are great. Really enjoyed their diligence fixing up an old building to something that was desperately needed in Council Grove.
