I am a big fan of intimate venues. This theater is definitely a hidden gem. It's being well cared for. It's plenty of FREE PARKING! They also have a concession stand serving snacks, non & alcoholic beverages. The seating was comfortable! Overall this is a great place for plays and musicals. I am looking forward to visiting again!

Had a great time at this intimate little theater. I saw Lady Sings the Blues and I wasn't disappointed by the performance. I would suggest that you get there early for 2 reasons. They had a DJ there who entertained us and it's really dark once the lights go out for the show. They also had vendors. I highly recommend seeing this if you're in the area.

Attended a viewing of "Lady Sings the Blues." The play was outstanding. So many talented actors and singers. This was my first time there, but most certainly won't be my last.

Dj 10 provided music before, and during intermission. I was absolutely impressed.

There were vendors there where you could purchase snacks, drinks, etc.

I look forward to going to Theatre 47 for upcoming plays.

The play was awesome. I enjoyed the entire performance. They made my birthday one of the best I've ever had at age 74. I was celebrated on stage with happy birthday, being song to me with a big hug from the leading lady. Thank Theater 47.

Beautiful theater with talent artists. Saw Lady Sings the Blues and I felt welcomed as soon as I entered. The half time DJ was a great surprise, staff was friendly, bathroom clean. And the play and performers were awesome and there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

Fantastic venue in the South Suburbs! I loved the intimate seating and stage, no bad seats anywhere in the theatre. Affordable ticjet cost. Fun entertainment during the intermission. I enjoyed the play/musical of Lady Sings the Blues - the Billie Holiday story. The talent is top notch! I've already purchased a ticket for their next play/musical event to be held in February 2025 based on the life of Bobby Womack!
