The artistry and flavors of the food were truly exceptional—each dish was beautiful. It’s clear that a great deal of thought and care goes into the culinary experience, and for that, we were deeply impressed. However, the service left something to be desired. Unfortunately, we couldn’t help but feel as though we were not afforded the same level of attention or warmth as other patrons.

Theatery is hands-on the best dining experience I’ve had on island while living here. I’ve been to upscale restaurants with notable chefs on island/around the world and this meal is easily one of my favorite of my life. The drinks were perfectly crafted, the pork was cooked to perfection and the mashed uala was the tastiest complimentary side. Felt like I was in an episode of The Bear if everyone wasn’t angry and more joyful. While you will spend a good amount, it is the only place on island I’ve felt like what I got was worth every penny and more, excluding the poke spots.

Such a wonderful experience. Beautiful, clever, delicious, nothing like it in Kona ~ Make it a priority for dinner, you can’t go wrong. Ample parking adjacent to restaurant. Ease in generating an online reservation. Then, just show up. We had an opportunity to meet the chef as we were leaving we thanked him and with enthusiasm shared our love of all things Theatery!!! Loved every aspect.

Wow! I'm flabbergasted and pleasantly surprised by our experience at Theatery. We went in not really knowing what to expect and we found an eatery with high end and chic ambience; great service and creative and delicious culinary creations. The chef was a sous chef at three Michelin star restaurants. I'm really glad we have this new addition in the Kona culinary scene; and we will definitely be bringing our friends over here for a show stopping Act 1 (appetizers) Act 2 (main course) and Act 3 (desserts) plus cocktails / mocktails.

I couldn’t dream of a more perfect restaurant. It’s clever, theater-themed, stunning cocktails, full of sunset views, and full of intoxicating flavors.

The waitstaff feel like they’re your coolest friends from New York - The food is presented in a classy Michelin style - and yet you are in Hawaii the whole time!

Great ambiance. Friendly and professional service. Very good food. I'm absolute terms, definitely standing out compared to other BI restaurants. We had the soup and kong-pau, the fish and the chicken, the panacotta and the Napoleon -- everything was very well prepared , presented and tasteful.
We'll definitely be coming back and bring it friends and family.

Great food and service. Interesting menu items and excellent preparations. The Kampachi was exceptional!!! Tiny bit crispy on the edge and yet not overcooked at all. The port Beurre blanc was a lovely complement and the homemade gnocchi!!!!! Wow. Next time I m going to ask for a side order!
Mushroom soup was tasty with a nice little twist!
And besides— it’s in S Kona where we desperately need restaurants!! Don’t miss this excellent restaurant!!! I’m going back again this weekends with friends! An additional surprise— it is very reasonably priced!!!

Bubble Trouble

Wow! What a breath of fresh air. I certainly didn't expect a five star restaurant to open up here but it did. This is the place to be. The and decor is beautiful along with the stunning views.
I ordered their special Sirloin Steak, mashed potatoes and spinach. It was fast to arrive and perfectly cooked. The best steak I've had in four years. The tempranillo was delicious as well. My opinion... They knocked it out of the park! Great job guys.
