Came here to see the David Blaine show. Lots of parking available around the area. If you get there early can you even park in front of the theater. The venue is a perfect size for events. Easy to see the stage from all angles. Does not feel crammed. Was able to enjoy the show. Seats were fairly comfortable. They were serving beverages, popcorn and other snacks outside the seating area. Has a modern vintage ambiance about the place. Would definitely come back here again for other events.

Beautiful classic historic theatre with gold trim and red velvet chairs. This is like stepping back into time. Photos are of recent concerts..Chattanooga Symphony with Bernadette Peters and Straight No Chaser tour. The Loge is the best seating option.

Wow! What a beautiful venue in a great location! I love nostalgia and old buildings. This place wowed me as a first-time visitor. My family and I attended a Sunday evening Christian concert and parking was great along with a beautiful downtown setting. Made us feel like we stepped back in time. Upon our entry, we were greeted by very friendly staff who actually cared about your coming. Security was tight which we loved (for our own safety). Very much like the Fox Theater in Atlanta, which is fantastic. The restrooms were huge and well-stocked. The grand staircasings were awesome. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house since the auditorium is smaller than most big venues so the show you come to see will be well-viewed and you had that close-up feel even if you had a further seat back. The only part we didn't like was the cracking paint and ceiling which seemed so very displeasing to look at, almost unsettling sitting under it. Paint chips had dusted all the balcony seats which told us that the ceiling was truly falling little by little. The cosmetics of the old 1920s building really needed some TLC, but overall, it was a grand night surrounded by beautiful decorations and great stage sound. Almost too loud for such a small auditorium, but we endured.
I would definitely go back for the nostalgic setting, but pray they begin repairs as soon as possible. A fun night in Chattanooga!

A stunning old theatre. So ornate and refined. You truly feel you are in a part of aristocratic history. We came to see Theo Von and the venue was absolutely hopping. Already buying tickets for many more upcoming shows.

Nice place. Under construction/Renovation. Can definitely tell there's a whole lot of work being done and seems like it'll be pretty amazing when it's finished. Visited on a cold, windy, rainy, tornado night in early May.

The Tivoli is around 90 years old but it's still beautiful. It still has that old school charm. The architecture and ambiance is a throwback to a time when craftsmanship really mattered. It's unique in today's bigger, better, stronger, faster Society. It's just fun to go here! The acoustics are superb. There's not a bad seat in the house soundwise.

I've lived in Chattanooga almost three years now and have been to three shows at the Tivoli. The first was Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker. My first live ballet, and while the dancing was good, the scenery and costumes were gaudy. I prefer something more traditional when it comes to the Nutcracker. The second was more recent and was Les Miserables. As a theatre geek, I wasn't expecting much having seen it on Broadway and knowing the size of the Tivoli couldn't accommodate the grand sets of the NY production, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked and the genius of the design adaptation for the smaller stage. The overall quality of the production was great. My friend and I sat in the second row of the loge, however, and the lighting rigs on the front of the loge did interfere with seeing some of the action downstage. I think sitting in the front row would make it even harder to see so be warned if buying loge tickets. Tonight I got back from the opening of CATS. It was my 6th time seeing it (1st not at it's original home at the Winter Garden in NYC). The production and cast were absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I had a right center balcony, row A seat and it was perfect for this show. The sound quality of the live orchestra was incredible. As for the theatre itself, it's absolutely beautiful with amazing architecture and detail. However, I'm only giving it 4 stars (and considered 3) because it seriously needs some restoration. There is major paint flaking, especially on the ceilings, and I worry with the sound and vibration that it's going to flake off and fall on people. I don't know if the issues go beyond paint to plaster or structure but if the Tivoli wants to keep drawing in quality shows and audiences, something needs to be done about the appearance.
