Every year for 16 years I take my children to the Coffey County Fair. For the last 8 years they have not had a carnival. The generosity of Wolf Creek Nuclear plant was able to schedule a carnival. Unfortunately it was Toby's Amusements. Besides 2 of the "big rides" being inoperable, the game booths not having change and no trash cans, I can honestly say this is not the Toby's Amusements from 20 years ago when it was a reputable company. My sons were stuck on the Zipper for 30 plus minutes while the operator ate a cheeseburger and cleaned up puke from a different rider. I was told he "could not let the previous riders off until he cleaned up the mess". Bullspit. The man had NO cleaning materials there at the ride itself and lets face it, everyone KNOWS someone is going to hurl on that ride so why not have the proper items there for when this happens? The employee was rude, inconsiderate and hostile towards the myself and other concerned parents whose children were stuck on the ride for over half an hour. Not to mention the carnival personnel put the ride right next to the Fairground's stadium where a very nice local man was cooking fresh burgers to sell and had to smell the stench of the exhaust of the ride and to put the cherry on top, fair patrons were puked on as they were standing there. I will NEVER waste another dollar on a Toby's Amusement ride, game or food truck. I agree with another poster's comment that the good people who started this company would be rolling in their graves and beyond ashamed. Oh yes, and Thursday night an employee was arrested on drug charges.

Horrible supposed to be 3 day event....day 2 at 7 p m still not up and going. People that bought advanced tickets mad. Cherryvale, Ks people don't like people word not being any good. Very unprofessional lies upon lies as to when they were opening and when more rides would be here12:41 a m still only 4 rides and only 2 were running finally at9 pm. Your ancestors would be so ashamed

There rides are old,falling apart not working properly yet they still had them at Kincaid Kansas Fair. I purchased tickets ahead for my Granddaughters I had not been to the carnival part of the fair for a couple years needless to say we were all disappointed and I will not be going to the carnival part again unless improvements are made.
