My fiancé took me to TRIO Tap House for our night out for my birthday dinner back in December. We got the Taphouse Beer Queso and chips as a starter.. DELICIOUS! I had to stop myself from eating them to save room for my main course. As my main course, I got the 14 oz. Dry-aged Prime Ribeye, which came with a side house salad, garlic bread, asparagus and a loaded baked potato. My ribeye was mouthwatering! The side salad was good. I passed the garlic bread onto my fiancé as I didn’t want/need the extra filler. The baked potato and the asparagus were not to my liking. The baked potato seemed to have been previously microwaved or had been sitting under the warmer for a bit before being served to me. As far as the asparagus, if you are not expecting or wanting sweet asparagus, I do not recommend. It wasn’t how I have ever had asparagus cooked, I wasn’t expecting the sweetness and I wasn’t too fond of it. Overall, it was a good experience and we will be back, I will just choose different side options the next time we visit.

Nothing short of exceptional from Hays. Seth was our waiter, and he was beyond phenomenal. Food was HOT, fresh, and delicious.

I had one of the mac and cheese dishes, fried mishrooms, and my husband had the Reuben.

A must try if you are in the area, just save us a seat!

My Caesar salad was not dressed properly. If you order mash potatoes it only comes with white gravy which is not proper when eating beef. There are only 3 different cuts of steak offered in only one size per type of steak so maybe that's why this place is called trios. No baked potatoes are served but a half of a twice baked is. The food was prepared very well by a very young cook which was nice to see. Overall it was OK but overpriced.

First time here overall it was good I had the triple trio burger and waffle fries my fiance had the dry aged ribeye with asparagus and loaded baker. My burger was good the grilled mushrooms and onions where good and the jalapeno bacon was just spicy enough the mayo was delicious overall my meal was good my fiance is also a reviewer so I will let her tell you about her meal which the steak was the best part the sides where not to her liking

Best Restaurant in Hays.

We moved here about a year ago, and I'm actually mad our friends had not yet recommended TRIO to us. We went tonight for the first time, and we loved everything about it.

Most other places have one or two things going for them, but TRIO has it all. Great drinks and Bartenders, my wife wanted drinks off the menu and not only did they happily make them, they made recommendations for new drinks to try that were better than what she had wanted!

And the food. Best we've had in town. The Nachos were unbelievably good. My wife got the pasta, it was amazing, I got the fish tacos and they were SOOOO good, reminded me of the great fish tacos I got in California a few years back.

And to top it off, the service was fabulous. We didn't want to sit at a table that was available when we got there, so they cleared another table people had just left and got us seated at it quickly. Then the Waiter, Jack, went out of his way to make sure everything we wanted was perfect. Making some special requests was not a problem at all, and he would ask for alternatives in case the cooks couldn't make it happen. He was helpful, thoughtful, and energetic. That's the trifecta of great service.

I honestly can't say enough about this restaurant. If you haven't tried it yet, you absolutely must.

Will not go there again. Went in late afternoon. Four tables had not been cleared, other tables were full. Hostess told us we could sit at the bar, or there would be a 20 - 30 minute wait. Really didn't want to sit at bar, but... Ordered our food, husband ordered a beer, I had iced tea, my salad came about 8 minutes later, and then.... nothing. We noticed that several tables had been there longer than we had, and they still had not received their food. We waited another half hour, nothing. Husband was furious so we paid for what we received and left. Four tables still needed to be cleaned, other tables still didn't have their food, and manager did not understand the problem. Don't worry, sir, everyone else did!

One of my favorite places in Hays! Truly a hidden gem with the best cocktails in town - seriously they know what they are doing.. try the summer brew! The food is always delicious (try the rueben or the eggrolls!), cant miss with the beer on tap and the service is always top notch when we go! Definitely recommend!
