I've tried to contact on numerous occasions for dogs that are stray in my area but because I'm only within the COUNTY and not within the CITY LIMITS, there is little to nothing they can do and this goes for all of TULARE COUNTY. I've noticed most of their positive reviews are from people within the city limits but not people outside of TULARE or VISALIA. It's a struggle, they say they're all full capacity but then why do they continuously keep going to local city limited areas to pick up these strays. 3 dogs were ran over in my yard (not simultaneously but over the last year) and yet they keep saying they'll pick it up only for a dispatcher to never come or hang up or say they came (when clearly they didn't) and picked it up only for the citizens or locals to clean up the mess.

If i could give zero stars i would this place is so bad in service you call and they just tell you that there is no room for dogs and to leave the stray out its sad that a big “company” like this ment for animal safety can careless of animals. Super disappointed we need to file complains

Tulare Ca Animal Control is not SPCA.
They do not respond as they should. They pick and choose, and often recite no time, resources, or officers to respond.
Cats/Kittens are always considered free roaming regardless of circumstance, unless dead or dying no one will respond.
I called about a large dog that was being kept in a too small of cage, too long, too often for the dogs size, NO RESPONSE. I am unable to intervene. I see the dog occasionaly being taken outside, its painful appearance says it all, painful to see too. Id keep calling but they always send out the same rude jerk of an officer that makes his time more valuable to waist.

I see I am not the only one who has tried to deal with that officer.

Great experience with helping a stray dog found at Target. Officer Capote arrived shortly after putting in the call, was polite and professional, and most importantly was patient and good to the dog. Informed us the dog would be put into rescue if not adopted.

I went to ask about vaccinations and this lady TOLD ME to get my female dog fixed. Wasnt asking. She told me I need to. I told her I wont be fixing her right now and she asks me "why not. You need to".Seriously had to tell her no like 4 times .Ya I understand theres alot of strays and they should let everyone know it is a option and things like that but dont try to force me to do anything. I just wanted my dogs shots.I wont be returning here.

Officer Capote arrived shortly after we called and was very good to the stray dog that had wandered into our yard. The officer was very friendly and personable, and the dog liked him right away and went with him without any struggle.

The guy was very rude, we been having a problem with our neighbor, that he rattles up our dogs on our side of the fence so the dogs can break it and get out and call the dog catcher on us but yet he's always trespassing into our property to come to our gate becausecuse he wants to look at our dogs and " see how they're doing " instead of helping us fix our situation he added more to it saying it's our fault that that old man ain't capable of those types of things , like what ? Old people are still capable of doing a lot of things.. he even screamed at my mom, can we get somebody who actually wants to help the animals then humans since this is the place for animals services right ?

I foster kittens for Tulare Animal Services and it has been nothing but a great experience. The staff is extremely helpful and work very hard to find loving homes for all the cats/kittens that are taken in. It's been such a great experience.
