For years, we have said we needed to see The Drunkard. It is a Tulsa institution. Kudos to the people that have kept up that tradition. The volunteer staff and actors are so passionate about what they do.

The Olio and the play.... They're definitely a throwback to an earlier era with the magician, the "old lady" skit and the temperance play. You could tell that the actors were truly having fun. Even when they knocked over props or tablecloths magically took flight, they made the most of these mishaps. It actually made the play funnier.

While the interactivity of the play was fun, I LOVED the tour. I just kept picturing what it must have been like to live in this place. (This Bruce Goff-designed house is part of our great Tulsa history as well.)

If you live in Tulsa and you have never experienced The Spotlight, you need to go as soon as you are able. Go with a group for the best experience! (Note that this is not a dinner theatre so eat before you go.)

We came to watch the drunkard and had a great time. This play was so much fun!!! The theater is so cute and has such great views! There's a plaque across the street that gives some great details about this place. If you're in the Tulsa metro area please support this theater. I can't recommend seeing the drunkard enough. You will have a great time and it's a crowd participation event!

What an incredibly fun evening! If you're planning on being in Tulsa on a weekend, get yourself tickets to this wonderful all-volunteer Vaudeville-style theater! Live piano playing with singalong to old-time songs for the whole crowd (they supply booklets with all the words!), and audience participation (booing the villain, cheering the hero, etc.) including the option to purchase fake tomatoes to throw at the villain (when prompted). Light snacks such as chips, pretzels, and candy are available for purchase, as well as a selection of beer, soft drinks, and coffee. If you purchase the bottomless coffee for $8, you get to keep a great souvenir mug!
The theater itself is a beautiful historic building built in 1928, located on Riverside, so there's the added bonus of a lovely location to enjoy as well!
As a point of caution, the seating area is very well-filled on a sold-out night, not an issue for me, but those who suffer from claustrophobia or PTSD would be very uncomfortable, I believe. Everyone is seated at little tables, and servers check in with you throughout the evening. I went solo and had a little table to myself.
I would absolutely give this great evening 5+ stars and 2 thumbs WAY UP!

What a gem this historical theater is , located in downtown Tulsa! The latest Follies Show was an absolute delight! The small theater offered intimate seating and
the greatest variety show. From Irish dancers, to bagpipes, Barbershop choir to Country and Western, magicians to children’s dance company, these acts were a thrill from beginning to end. Come experience great family entertainment at the Spotlight Theater!

We enjoyed it. We went to The Drunkard play. We all had a good time. It is definitely worth the money. It's entertaining. I recommend going. Two thumbs up.
