Fort Knox is emblematic of the government: FDR made personal possession of gold illegal, so all gold was confiscated, meaning Fort Knox is full of gold that doesn't belong to the government. Like our taxes... Would be 5 stars but do not accept personal checks.

I walked in there, picked up a gold bar with ease
It would be a 5 star review however I was getting a bit nervous after I walked out as I was met outside by a load of men in turtle outfits with guns

There is no access to the depository. Fun fact: In the 30s Elon Musk's family asked the US Govt to build it in KY (their real last name is Krupp..K Why) so it would not get stolen in the event the Germans got to the east coast. It opened in 1937 and took till 1942 to fill with around 26000 tons of gold. Much of this was shipped from Europe during WW2, picked up by the US Navy. Yes, the Nazi gold went to Ft. Knox. The rest was buried in North Africa and the Middle East.

How do I know? My Grandfather flew in and out of Malta during WW2. They watched US destroyers till late 41, then later the Greeks most likely moved the rest. Also why JFK's wife Jackie Onassis and Princess Diana married or dated Greek shipping Magnates, to show the world the cause of two massive screwups. Not the Greeks per se, but JFK's assasination and how dirty the USA and the Royal family are about digging up the money and keeping it hidden.

Vietnam, Korea and other Asian islands by the USA. Egypt, North Africa and the middle east by England and France. All about the MONEY! None of which was ever shared. Both the USA and UK have been killing their own citizens and even worse, military veterans that helped move it, to cover the whole thing up. Pearl Harbor was exactly what that was organized for. On the USS Utah were transfers from numerous others destroyers sent for training. More likely, sent to be quiet permanently. This is also the reason for 911 as the paperwork would havebeen in WTC building 6. The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, as received through the Brooklyn shipyards and other assayed loads from Nazi Europe.
