What an awesome little gem! The drive-in is easy to find and offers a wonderful experience for every family. We had such a great time and cannot wait to go back. They have extremely inexpensive concessions that is stocked with all of the movie classic that we grew up with. There were a lot of families that chose to grill out and bring their own food, which was fun to see. I recommend bringing your own radio instead of using your car radio.

Great experience. They need help with ticket lines, and huge concession lines. Best to bring your own food (allowed). Arrive early for the best viewing spot (ahead of the concessions building) and outdoor experience. Bring lawn chairs and a FM speaker (90.1). Many people meet friends early. ! CASH ONLY !!!

Always will have a soft spot in my heart for a Drive In, and the Vali Hi is one of the few left that I'm aware of. On weekends, it's a veritable tailgate block party, with movies on the side (3 of them for under $10 per adult. Kids 6-12 are a buck, and younger are totally free.) They show first run films (see pic for an example) that are playing in theaters, have a great concession stand, and a great '50's vibe right down to the music played before the shows start (which they will do about 20 minutes after sunset). Be aware they only accept cash for entrance and concessions, but do have a cash machine inside for snack purchases (nothing but cash to get in though, so be prepared!) Bring your grill, your favorite foods, even your hammocks. But get there early. On weekends I'd recommend arriving by 530 pm at the latest. (Ticket sales start at 7) During the week, you can get there by 630 pm and be good, with ticket booths open at 7:30. They're open Sunday through Saturday, from spring well into September and later if weather permits.(Though only on weekends after labor day) Movies show in rain or clear, but be aware that it's outside, so car headlights, a full moon, or lingering twilight can make those dark scenes in some films, tougher to see. Make sure your radio works, as that's how you'll hear the films, (90.1 on your FM Dial) but there's plenty of ambient sound to go around even outside your vehicle. A thriving blast from the past that you won't want to miss.
