Wonderful bunch of fur baby caretakers at the shelter. Couldn't ask for better service from the staff. Very clean facility and the animal adoption fees are very reasonable and they make sure the fur babies are up to date on their vaccinations and they even spade and neuter the animals before you take them home . Very pleased with them!!5*?

Angie Hodgeboom is amazing she will get you to adopt an animal even if you don't want one...She has her heart in what she does! Our dog is loved,spoiled,herd headed,beautiful and had bad habits but thank you Angie

My sincerest thank you to the incredible men and women of Walton County Animal Shelter for the phenomenal care “Bull” received prior to his adoption. NEVER did I expect such comprehensive veterinary care and documentation from a rescue. Their compassion for these animals shined in every action and conversation from start to finish. I am thrilled to share that “Bull” has brought so much joy to me and my family-including my grandmother who suffers with dementia. After seeing the natural connection he made with her, I have decided to enroll him in a formal ESA training program so we can continue helping her and many others.

Walton county animal control service is an absolute joke to the walton county tax payers...Kings lake blvd has numerous stray dogs,dogs getting into neighboring trash,dogs tied up an emaciated...the service control people are down here everyday but fail to do anything...They see all the trash strown,an packs of dogs running around...I talked to one who knew the exact dogs,where they stay,an have numerous complaints about them,but yet yall still fail to do anything...To conclude this long rant again a joke to the taxpayers that live in North walton...I bet them rich folks in south walton don't have to deal with this,I bet they're problems taken care of right away....

Decent animal shelter, my fiancè works here and likes it. The dogs are well taken care of. PSA- it is a kill shelter here so any animal is at risk of being put down if turned in (speaking from experience)

Walked in on Wednesday to get some information and happened to meet the sweetest dog, Scooby is the perfect addition to our family and was very well taken care of at the shelter. He is naturally skittish but wasted no time getting to know us. The awesome staff at the shelter helped us introduce him to our previous dogs and made sure everything went smoothly our first day.

This shelter is scrupulously clean and always looks ans smells great. Patty W is the most amazing person. She clearly cares so much for the animals housed there. Please adopt from here. I rescue from here occasionally and have always been offered help. Please support local shelters.

Our first time here in a long time. Staff were very helpful.. everything looked clean.. we will keep checking back until the right pup finds us.
