We arrived about 35 minutes early of departure time. Our train was 30 min late, but I’m sure that’s normal. The train station was open at 6:00 am when we got there. They have coffee and souvenirs to buy. Clean restroom. I couldn’t connect to wifi at the station. Our son thought it was very cool to see an old station replica like this one. We had to walk a few steps over to the old train hut to board the train. Parking lot has other cars parked overnight and you can tell that the business has picked up at this stop.

Charming, quaint train station with plenty of parking. I didn't know what to expect with boarding, but passengers should be prepared for walking a short distance in the elements to wait in a covered "bus hut" style shelter when ushered over there by the station attendant.

Nice station with viewing platform, restrooms, and indoor/outdoor benches. It is a good filming place for railfans and gets many freight/passenger trains each day.

My daughters and I traveled from Waterlooo to Chicago on June 25, 2024. Our train was delayed 2+ hours due to a fire at Harpers Ferry. Bridge. So the train station was closed when we arrived. It was getting ready to storm and we needed to walk the half block to the bus stop type building to board. I’m confined to a wheelchair. We barely made it before it started raining. Other passengers were already in this small structure. It isn’t safe in storms and leaks badly. We were all soaked! Had to board mid storm and Amtrak staff was not very helpful. Wheel chairs of 20” or less will only fit. Very narrow access. If I had been in any wider chair I could not have boarded. I loved the train ride though!!

Bought ticket for 7:51am departure. Its delayed for than 3+ hrs, need to make a connecting train and probably won't make it. The station attendee is not here so I'm left with out info or assistance. Not sure whats the issue. But definitely would have just took a 2 hr flight back home. Be prepared for days lioe so, some dont even notify till the morning of. Definitely not going this route again.

The train station opens right as the train is pulling up. You have to walk down across from the building to board the train.
The workers are very polite and helpful, as they are boarding the train. My ride to Chicago is very smooth and comfortable. Feels good to sit back and relax versus driving all the time. Great service, keep it up!

Well maintained. Restroom is clean. Parking lot is convenient right next to the station. Must purchase tickets in advance because this station does not sell or print tickets however, It is manned by a staff member. Friendly employees. Station opens 1 hour prior to train departure. Great station with historic charm.
