Waukesha Public Theater is a small but nice spot to catch a show. The sound and lighting are surprisingly good, making the performances feel top-notch. Concessions are decent and priced right, adding to the laid-back, friendly vibe. Great place for local theater!

We have enjoyed many shows over the last 3 years but tonight it went above and beyond in quality. Kinky Boots was SPECTACULAR and every role and touch was done beautifully. I have a slight hearing impairment and yet today the actors sang loud and clear all through the show. I so appreciate good actors who can pull this off. The entire cast was incredibly talented, and the music and staging rivaled shows I have seen in large cities. Cyndi Lauper wrote the music and lyrics, and she is brilliant.
This theater has lots of parking and the ticket prices are easy on the pocket. There are refreshments for sale and if you have a few $$ to spend they are building a more intimate Black Box theater next to the main stage. This is going to be another big win for the theater crowd.
Thank you for bringing this wonderful program to Waukesha. The two main actors, William Salinas and Caleb Joyner gave their all and the audience was all in for the entire production. But I also loved every supporting actor for their talent, which was incredible.
I can't wait for the next shows- I plan to attend them all! And if you have children, watch for their many shows with kids in mind!

Was so excited to see the Haunting of hill house!
However , 1st act was sooo slow, poor acting and the brunette just shouted ! Looked around and 80% of the audience was dozing off and /or sleeping. Intermission finally came and so many people said OMG ! Is this boring !!!
Don’t waste your money or time. Unless you have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep… if you have insomnia , this is your definite cure !!!!

Great theater and crew! Fabulous shows. Neat area in historic downtown Waukesha. All in all wonderful place to support! Go catch a show! You wont be disappointed.

My 19 year old Daughter who lives a block away from the theatre ( sophomore at Carroll University) purchased tickets for my birthday. She knew I loved the story of ' The Bridges of Madison County' . My very sporty, athlete daughter enjoyed it so much. I was blown away that she loved it as much as I did. The actor's and singing were wonderful and to see this production at your beautiful theatre was a plus. My daughter has a new appreciation for the arts and we are looking forward to the next production.

First time back in this theater after a few years. What a lovely evening we had. The renovations to the lobby are spectacular. I recommend coming a bit early to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. We saw The Humans. It kept us engaged. A good play will make you feel you are in the middle of it. A fly on the wall. This production did just that. Residents of Waukesha and surrounding communities are so fortunate to have access to the theatre. Support it, visit it, enjoy it.
