It's been awesome to have a dedicated improv theatre here in suburbia. The owners have given me and mine good feedback. The jams and shows have been fun and have had a good mix of imps from all around town. Popping in is a great way to get introduced to improv.

A wonderful way to end a long work week. I can get my imagination immersion into improvisation!! It's like a ride on the mind wave to reward my efforts. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share this with my family and friends.

Welcome back, my beautiful readers, and happy Saturday. I thought it might be interesting to try something new, so, being a somewhat-new lover of theatre, I attended my first improv show at the (also somewhat-new) What If Theatre.

Upon entering the building, I was immediately intrigued by the space. The dark color scheme and array of different framed art pieces were pleasant to behold, and the snack selection was a nice surprise.

Since my band of comrades and I had arrived a tad early, we simply sat and chatted for a spell, taking in the artwork and theorizing on what sort of show we were about to see.

There were a total of three troupes on this fine evening, all of which surprised and entertained us in different ways. For my first-ever improv experience, I was overall fascinated by the whole thing, and laughed at many a comedic moment.

Despite the odd slow scene here and there, when the …flaps… were down, these troupes took flight.

I think perhaps I may return soon.

Had such a blast watching the Stage Top Role Playing Game show! If you love DnD this a must see. It’s like watching live action DnD complete with dice rolls. Besides that it’s a great place to catch affordable comedy shows with comfy seats and snack and drinks to purchase.

Saw a great show at the theater last night! The staff was friendly, seats were super comfortable and really fun atmosphere. I'll be back!

Lovely small theater with creative antics! Went to their Table Top Role Playing Game and it was a great time. Fun for a date night or night out with friends

Probably best to give more description as to what your shows will be about or even a title of the play.... Last night's show was called "Merry Widow". Well...the title kindof tells a hint of what it may contain. Had I known, I would have called and inquired more information about what I was about to watch. Not to mention, I went with a group of widowed friends as well. Needless to say, my friend and I were horrified by the entire play. I am a widowed woman! I was completely offended and heartbroken by the context of this play. Losing a spouse the way I lost mine, watching him change colors before your eyes, gasping for air and trying so hard to keep him alive, is no laughing matter! Watching the actor on stage act out what I witnessed of my departed husband made me sick to my stomach! They laughed on stage and in the audience while the actress helped encourage his passing by covering his mouth and nose with her hands to seal the fate quicker. All because she wants a stupid dress to parade around town in and get attention was disgusting! I WISH I would have known this was what I was about to experience for my 1st time going to what I was under the impression would be a "comedy show". The loss of your spouse, the love of your life is no laughing matter and this play was NOT funny at all! The traumatized experience of watching helplessly as my husband passed away in front of me unable to breath, looking at me and tears falling down his face as he tried so desperately to stay alive and with my son and I is forever etched in my mind. Such a cruel thing I witnessed last night as a comedy?!?! So moving forward if you decide to put on what you consider a comedy that may have sensitive material in it, at least put the title of the play in your advertisements so I or someone else can decide at that moment that this may be something to avoid. "Widow" would have at least made me ask a few questions.
