Definitely off of the path. But worth looking up and driving out to! The animals have large enclosures and are very social. So amazing being so up close and personal with these amazing animals. All of the staff seemed very knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy working there. Beautiful little hike with lots of trees for shade.

These folks were AMAZING. The animals had safe and natural habitats. They seemed to be comfortable and some even happy to be on display. The crow had a little rehersed hence she would do and even said "hello." She made a big racket when you tried to walk away. The otters were FANTASTIC!

Beautiful grounds. Very relaxed visit. Self-guided. Recommend going early when animals are more active. We saw Grizzly bear, wolves, and many other animals.

Went Monday for my daughter birthday her favorite animal is otters 🦦 and I was so excited they had artistic otters that you can book so we did. Was really cool to get to see them work with trainers and see them up close. Luke and Mitch were so cute. I definitely recommend booking this. After we were done with that we walked around and checked out the other animals. Fun family activity.

The habitats for the animals were very natural and open. Staff was so caring and friendly, willing to answer all my questions about the animals I had, and I got to see a very kind staff member explain Nubs' eye medicine as she did it. I really love seeing the animal's names and stories alongside the facts about them as well even though so many of the stories are heartbreaking to read. Thank you for the experience and I look forward to coming again!

Edit: I used to enjoy this place, especially when they were changing for the better with acquisition of otters, discovery farm, and new experiences for everyone. There were positive changes, and people would visit after YEARS of not being there to say it was completely different and exciting. Now, however, the board of directors (mainly the new President) alienated the staff, managers, and volunteers who were positively impacting the establishment and they all left. As a volunteer who created their museum of conservation, I no longer feel like this is a safe and exciting learning environment for the public.

We had a blast! The info sessions and meet and greets every 1/2 hour were very informative. They host events for Mother’s Day and other times throughout the year that look so much fun! Local facility treating local animals and helping keep the wild in the wild.
