This downtown street fair has evolved into a family fun event. Biddle is the primary location for the expected paintings, photographs, jewelry, clothing, and food vendors, but you'd be missing most of the fun if you didn't venture down the side streets where the smaller vendors and all the kids activities are set up. Find the Porta-Potties, and you'll discover the kid's zone. 80% of the prices you'll see are disappointedly high, but the other 20% may seem like bargains. You'll definitely find something you can't live without. Some vendors are cash only, so come prepared. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat. Parking is tight, so look for parking that provides shuttle or consider a Taxi, Uber or Lyft.

This fair is NOT what it once was. Many areas have been eliminated. The beer tent and music stage were places locals met up with friends to catch up. Those have been gone for a few years. Something else that is long gone is the area of tables and chairs near the info booth. If you buy food, there is nowhere to sit and eat. I would love to see a tented area with tables, chairs, and fans. Benches randomly throughout the fair would be amazing! Places to gather and rest encourage patrons to spend more time and money. I'm not sure what the count was, but it certainly seemed as if there were fewer artists. I wish there were more small time, local artists/crafters. Perhaps they could be given discounted rates. I really liked when the council for the arts had their artists set up in and around their building. That too has been eliminated. All of the businesses down the fair route used to bring their product outside. There were some this year that did not participate which was disappointing. Even though dogs are not allowed, there were many. I can't imagine any of these dogs appreciate art, crowds, or the ridiculously hot pavement they are walking on. I know more than one person that has been attacked and bitten by dogs. This instills a real fear. I would like to see muzzles on the dogs that do attend. By far, the WORST part of the fair were all the businesses that rented spots to sell. There were too many, located in the prime/main booths. I'm down there to enjoy the art and someone jumps out in front of me trying to sell me windows!!! Really? It is an ART fair, NOT an infomercial. 😡 I have been coming to the Wyandotte Street Art Fair for as long as I can remember... close to 50 years. I look forward to it every year. Unfortunately, it has really gone downhill
I do hope someone puts more effort into organizing this event.

The street fair this year seemed bigger, or maybe it was spread out differently. But it had a good mix of paintings, crafts, metal and jewelry work, and the tie dyed shirts were awesome. They had every food you could ever want. You had the addition of Simply hot dogs and ice cream, that was awesome. The social drinking district is a plus and they had music also.

We always enjoy the street fair. Even in the rain we came and checked out the vendors! Got 3 tops, dog treats and other goodies that were there! Favorite summer event we love every year.

A lot of weird booths that had things no one would use, the fair food was REALLY overpriced (even for fair food), and the layout was really confusing. But some of the booths were really cool, most everyone was kind and in a good mood despite the rain, and they had a lot of adult beverage options that made it fun. We brought a small stroller for our baby, and it wasn't too crowded to maneuver. I'd go again, just don't expect an out-of-this-world experience.

We love attending art fairs and Wyandotte’s was great! So many tents and options to look through. The vendors were all great and so nice to talk to even on a hot Summer day. Parking was hard to find but was worth it.
